Team Liquid has announced a new global partnership with UNICEF, the world’s largest children’s rights organization, aimed at promoting quality education and empowering young people through gaming. The collaboration will feature charity streams, in-game activations, and special events centered on UNICEF’s Sustainable Development Goal “Quality Education,” leveraging Team Liquid’s esports talent and digital reach to engage young gamers worldwide.
The partnership was officially revealed during the Intel x Team Liquid World Tour event in London. Speaking at the event, Team Liquid founder and Co-CEO Victor Goossens highlighted the personal and cultural impact gaming has had on his life, noting the organization’s commitment to creating positive opportunities for young people. “Everyone at Team Liquid believes in the transformative power of gaming,” Goossens said. “We are honored to partner with UNICEF and help support children around the world in reaching their full potential.”
By uniting Team Liquid’s connection with digital-native audiences and UNICEF’s global expertise in children’s rights, digital safety, and inclusive education, the organizations aim to harness gaming’s accessibility to inspire and uplift the next generation. For Team Liquid, the initiative aligns with its long-standing “esports for all” mission and follows previous youth-focused efforts including collaborations with the Boys and Girls Club USA and hosting educational esports events.
UNICEF sees the alliance as a powerful opportunity to mobilize gaming communities for global good. “We are excited to partner with Team Liquid to advocate and raise vital funds for the world’s most vulnerable children,” said Sebastien Lyon, Chief of Corporate Partnerships at PFP, UNICEF. “Together, we aim to inspire a generation by engaging them in the spaces where they play and connect, and empowering them to turn awareness into impact.”
The first major activation of the partnership will launch on November 20—World Children’s Day—when Team Liquid creators and talent will begin a two-week charity streaming initiative. Additional campaign elements, including UNICEF-supported in-game integrations, are expected to be revealed shortly after.
Team Liquid and UNICEF are calling on the global gaming community to join them in championing a world where every child has the opportunity to play, learn, and thrive.
