BGMI Chennai Esports Global Championship Format

The Semi-Finals will take place from November 4th to 7th, 2025. A total of 24 teams will compete, including 20 directly invited teams, 3 teams from the Closed Qualifiers, and 1 team from the Luna Open Qualifier (a female team). Each team will play 16 matches in the semi-finals. After all matches, the top 8 teams will move on to the Grand Finals, while the remaining teams will proceed to the Last Chance Qualifier.

The Last Chance Qualifier will run from November 8th to 11th, 2025. This stage will feature 16 teams, playing a total of 24 games. The top 8 teams from this stage will qualify for the Grand Finals, and the rest will be eliminated from the tournament.

The Grand Finals are scheduled for November 14th to 16th, 2025, featuring 16 teams, 8 from the Semi-Finals and 8 from the Last Chance Qualifier. The Grand Finals will consist of 18 matches, with 6 matches played each day.

The Smash Rule format will be applied in this stage. Teams will compete under standard rules until one team reaches a specific Match Point threshold, which is calculated as the top team’s points after Match #12 plus 10 points. Once a team becomes Match Point Eligible, the first team to secure a WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner) after that point will be crowned the Champion.

If no Match Point Eligible team wins a WWCD by the end of the final 6 matches, the team with the highest total points will be declared the Winner of the tournament.
