Riot Games’ Project L Named ‘2XKO’, Coming 2025

Riot Games has officially named their upcoming fighting game Project L to ‘2XKO’, announcing the approximate time frame for its release.

In a recent blog post, Riot Games has revealed their upcoming plans for 2XKO and explained what fans can expect over the next year.

2XKO is set to be a 2v2 tag-based fighting game where players can participate in duo and co-op modes alongside their friends with various characters from League of Legends Runeterra.

At first glance, the newly released gameplay footage seems to be a significant upgrade over what was revealed about the game earlier, with improved visuals, indicators, and more improvements.

Riot Games’ Senior Director, Tom Cannon, has said that he aims to recreate the thrill of real-life arcade gaming in the virtual world. He further emphasizes that 2XKO will prioritize the values of the Fighting Game Community and actively seek feedback from the community in the coming year.

2XKO Release Date & How To Playtest

Riot Games has said in a statement that 2XKO will be a free-to-play title that will launch in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S and X, and PC.

However, if you’re looking to try out the game earlier, you can try opting into a playtest of 2XKO ahead of its official launch.

Fans can sign up for the 2XKO playtest on the official website of the game.
