NODWIN Gaming Named India’s National Team Partner for Esports Nations Cup 2026

NODWIN Gaming has been appointed as India’s official National Team Partner for the Esports Nations Cup 2026 (ENC), placing the company at the centre of the country’s first structured push towards nation-based esports competition.

The appointment was confirmed by the Esports Foundation, with the tournament set to debut in Riyadh from November 2 to 29, 2026.

The Esports Nations Cup introduces a new competitive model where players represent their countries instead of clubs. For India, this marks the first time a formal pathway is being established for national-level representation in esports.

NODWIN Gaming will now be responsible for building that pathway from the ground up, including talent identification, team formation, coaching structures, and coordination with publishers and ecosystem stakeholders. The move effectively positions NODWIN as the central operating body for India’s participation in the global competition.

From Fragmented Ecosystem to National Representation

India has long been one of the largest gaming markets globally, but competitive structures have remained largely fragmented across publishers, tournaments, and third-party organisers.

The ENC changes that equation. By introducing a national team system, the tournament creates a unified structure where top players across titles can represent India on a global stage, something the ecosystem has lacked until now.

NODWIN Gaming’s mandate will focus on creating a high-performance environment that can support Indian players across multiple titles, while also mobilising grassroots communities and strengthening talent pipelines.

A Competitive Selection on a Global Scale

The scale of the selection process reflects the importance of the role. The Esports Foundation received over 630 applications from more than 150 countries and territories before finalising partners across 100+ nations.

NODWIN Gaming’s selection underscores its long-standing role in shaping India’s esports ecosystem through tournaments, media rights, and community-driven initiatives over the past decade.

“A Defining Shift” for Indian Esports

Nimish Raut, Global Head of Esports, Partnerships & Special Projects at NODWIN Gaming, described the Esports Nations Cup as a transformative opportunity for the country. He noted that while India has one of the largest gaming communities in the world, there has been no unified structure for players to represent the country internationally, a gap the ENC is now set to address.

Officials from the Esports Foundation also highlighted India’s growing presence, describing it as an emerging powerhouse in the global esports landscape.

The Esports Nations Cup 2026 is backed by a total investment of $45 million and will feature competition across 16 game titles, including major esports staples such as Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, VALORANT, and PUBG Mobile. The tournament is designed as a biennial event, complementing existing club-based competitions while introducing long-term investment into national team development.

The Indian Growth Potential

NODWIN Gaming’s appointment goes beyond operational responsibility.

It signals a structural shift in how Indian esports is being positioned globally, from a fast-growing market to a represented competitive nation. For the first time, Indian players across multiple titles will compete under a unified national identity on one of the biggest stages in esports.

And that, more than anything else, changes the narrative.
