BGMI Transfer Window April 2026: Dates, Rules, and Everything You Need to Know

0

KRAFTON India has officially announced that the BGMI transfer window will reopen on April 1, 2026, giving teams a fresh opportunity to reshape their rosters before the next big tournament season. This is the second official transfer window since Krafton introduced the system in late 2025, and it is already generating plenty of buzz in the Indian esports community.

What Is the BGMI Transfer Window?

The BGMI transfer window is a structured, time-limited period during which registered esports clubs can officially sign, release, or trade players within the Battlegrounds Mobile India competitive ecosystem. Krafton India introduced this system in October 2025, drawing direct inspiration from how traditional sports leagues like football and basketball handle player movement.

Before this system existed, roster changes in BGMI happened randomly and without warning. Teams would drop or replace players in the middle of a season, which caused confusion for fans, disrupted team chemistry, and made competitive scheduling unpredictable. The transfer window fixes this by creating a set period for all roster activity, followed by a roster lock that prohibits any changes.

BGMI Transfer Window 2026 Dates

The second BGMI transfer window opens on April 1, 2026. This timing is deliberate, as it follows immediately after the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals, which took place from March 27 to March 29. The transfer window fixes this by creating a set period for all roster activity, followed by a roster lock that prohibits any changes.

The first transfer window started on October 1, 2025, with an initial closing date of November 15, 2025. However, Krafton India extended the deadline to November 30, 2025, to give teams competing in BMPS 2025, BMSD 2025, and BMIC 2025 enough time to finalize their lineups. Once a window closes, KRAFTON India locks all rosters for the next six months.

How the BGMI Transfer Process Works

All transfers are processed through the official Krafton India Esports (KIE) Dashboard. Only verified clubs with a registered Owner or In-Game Leader (IGL) can initiate or approve transfers. The process follows a clear sequence: both teams negotiate terms, submit the agreed roster change on the dashboard, and then KRAFTON India verifies the request for compliance before confirming it.

Free agents, meaning players without a club contract, can join any team at any time, regardless of whether the transfer window is open. This gives unsigned players a continuous path into the ecosystem. However, players already contracted to a club cannot move to a rival team outside of an official window.

You can keep up with all BGMI esports roster updates and transfer news on TalkEsport’s BGMI coverage.

BGMI Transfer Window Roster Rules

Each team in the BGMI ecosystem can register four main players and one substitute, alongside one owner, one coach, and one manager. Only the five registered players are eligible to participate in official competitions. Any changes to the main four must go through the transfer process and receive KRAFTON India’s approval.

KRAFTON India strictly enforces compliance. Teams that break transfer rules cannot participate in third-party tournaments. The KIE Dashboard logs and tracks every transaction to maintain full transparency and authenticity throughout the process. This keeps the competitive integrity of every tournament intact, from grassroots qualifiers up to the biggest events.

Why This System Matters for Indian Esports

The BGMI transfer window is a significant step toward making Indian mobile esports function like a professional sports league. The system gives players contract protection, since their agreements are respected and they cannot be dropped mid-season without a proper process. It also gives organizations more time to scout talent, negotiate deals strategically, and plan their competitive seasons with confidence.

Krafton’s broader goal is to build a transparent, professional, and globally aligned esports ecosystem in India. Two transfer windows per year, each followed by a six-month roster lock, create a predictable rhythm for teams and tournaments alike. For fans, this also means roster stability throughout a season, making it easier to follow favorite players and understand team dynamics. You can read more about how the BGMI competitive scene is evolving on TalkEsport.

What Happens After the Window Closes?

Once the April 2026 transfer window closes, rosters will be locked for the next six months. During this lock period, no team can sign, release, or swap players, with the exception of free agents joining unsigned clubs. This locked period covers major events including BMPS 2026 and the Skyesports Championship, ensuring that the teams fans see in the group stage are the same ones competing in the finals.

Teams that violate the roster lock by fielding unregistered players risk disqualification from third-party tournaments. KRAFTON India monitors all lineup submissions before each tournament to enforce compliance. For players currently locked into rosters that are not working out, the April window represents a genuine chance to find a better fit and restart their competitive journey before the second half of the 2026 season.

BMPS 2026: Everything We Know So Far

0

Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2026 (BMPS 2026) is the second major stop in Krafton India’s official BGMI esports calendar for 2026. Following massive success of BGIS 2026, it is shaping up to be one of the most consequential domestic tournaments. With a slot to the Esports World Cup on the line, the stakes could not be higher

What Is BMPS 2026?

BMPS is Krafton India’s invite-only pro circuit event that brings together the best competitive BGMI teams in the country. Unlike BGIS, which is open-to-all, BMPS is reserved for teams that have already proven themselves through earlier competitions. Krafton introduced this to create a clear funnel from grassroots to global representation. BMPS sits at the top of that pyramid.

Dates and Schedule

According to Krafton India’s official 2026 esports roadmap, BMPS 2026 will take place from June 14 to July 6, 2026. BMPS 2026 runs right before the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. The timing is intentional, as the BMPS champion earns a direct slot there.

The EWC 2026 Slot

The biggest talking point around BMPS 2026 is the qualification pathway it offers. The tournament winner earns a direct slot at the PUBG Mobile World Cup. The event is held as part of EWC in Riyadh, July 2026. This continues a tradition set by BMPS 2025, where Team Aryan, as BMPS champions, represented India at EWC 2025. There is also a possibility that a second Indian team, potentially the BGIS 2026 champions – Team SouL, could earn a separate PMWC slot, though Krafton has not yet officially confirmed this arrangement.

How Teams Qualify for BMPS 2026

BMPS 2026 is not open for public registration. It is an invite-only event featuring the top 96 teams from across India. The main qualification route runs through BGIS 2026. It concluded on March 29, 2026, at the Chennai Trade Centre, with Team Soul as champions. Top performers from BGIS carry their spots directly into BMPS. A secondary qualification route exists through the Upthrust India Rising Series 2026, which also awards direct BMPS slots to deserving teams, providing a pathway for squads that may not have advanced through BGIS.

BGIS 2026 Context: Who Just Qualified

BGIS 2026 wrapped up with a landmark ₹4 crore prize pool, the highest in India Series history, unlocked in part through the community-driven Discovery Island in-game initiative. Team Soul took first place and ₹1 crore, with Genesis Esports finishing second and Orangutan third. Other finalists who put up a great performance, including GodLike Esports, Revenant XSpark, Velocity Gaming, LEFP Esports, Meta Ninza, and Rivalry Esports, will potentially form the core of the BMPS 2026 participant pool.

Format and Prize Pool

As of now, Krafton India has not officially announced the format or the prize pool for BMPS 2026. However, given that BMPS 2025 featured a prize pool of ₹4 crore, it is reasonable to expect a similar or higher amount for this year’s edition. The format will likely follow the established BGMI tournament structure, which uses a 15-point system in line with PMGC standards, as that is the format teams have been preparing with in scrims and official events throughout 2026.

Where BMPS 2026 Fits in the 2026 Calendar

BMPS 2026 is the second of four major official BGMI tournaments this year. It follows BGIS (January to March), and precedes BMSD (Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown, September 18 to October 12) and BMIC (Battlegrounds Mobile India Cup, October 31 to November 2). Krafton designed this four-event structure to maintain competitive momentum throughout the year, with each event feeding into the next and the best teams continuously tested at progressively higher stakes. You can follow detailed BGMI esports coverage at TalkEsport for real-time updates as Krafton releases official announcements.

Riot Games Clears Florescent, Confirms Eligibility to Compete in VCT

Riot Games has officially cleared Ava “florescent” Eugene and confirmed she remains eligible to compete in all Riot-sanctioned events. The decision came on March 30, 2026, through a procedural update posted on the Valorant Esports NA account on X.

Riot completed a formal review under the Esports Global Code of Conduct. The statement read: “This was a personal matter, and no sufficient evidence was found to determine that a violation of the Global Code of Conduct occurred. In conclusion, no competitive penalties will be issued, and Ava ‘florescent’ Eugene remains eligible to compete in Riot-sanctioned events.”

That closes a review process that had been running since May 2025.

How the Allegations Started

On May 17, 2025, former Game Changers player Marceline “karie” Carson brought forward allegations on behalf of a friend identified only as “Brick,” who claimed florescent had sexually assaulted her.

Riot released a statement through the official VCT X account the following day, saying they were aware of the allegations. They said they would cooperate fully with any legal investigation and assess whether the situation would affect florescent’s eligibility for future competition.

Riot did not name florescent in that statement, which drew criticism from parts of the community. Many pointed out that in the 2021 case involving Jay “Sinatraa” Won, Riot had publicly named the player and issued a competitive suspension while the review was active.

Florescent denied the allegations. She described the relationship as “mutually toxic,” called the accusations false, and said she was seeking legal advice.

florescent’s Path to VCT

To understand why this ruling matters, a bit of background helps. florescent became the first Game Changers eligible player to compete in a VCT International League, joining Apeks for VCT EMEA in the 2025 season.

She had previously competed in Game Changers with Misfits Black, Version1, and Shopify Rebellion. In 2024, Shopify Rebellion won the Game Changers Championship, with florescent’s individual performances playing a large part in the run.

Her signing with Apeks in December 2024 put her on the main VCT stage, a first for any Game Changers graduate.

Her 2025 Season and Departure from Apeks

Florescent competed at an individual level well above most of her peers during EMEA Stage 1. But the team around her struggled. Apeks finished EMEA Kickoff in the lower bracket after losing to Gentle Mates in their opening match. During Stage 1, they did not win a single series, taking only two maps, one against Team Heretics and one against NAVI.

Off the server, things were harder. Apeks stated that relocating to Berlin created a bigger distance between florescent and her friends and family, and that she had been dealing with personal and family emergencies that had taken a toll. Despite working with her and her agent on solutions, both sides agreed it was best for her to stop playing.

Florescent said in her own statement that she had relocated to EMEA for bootcamp just days after the Game Changers Championship ended in 2024. She cited personal and family emergencies going back to Kickoff and said several VCT teams had shown interest in buying out her contract, with Apeks telling her she could explore those options.

She stepped back from competing in April 2025. The allegations surfaced about three weeks later.

FACEIT Adding 8th Map to CS2 Season 8 Matchmaking Pool

FACEIT is expanding its CS2 map pool from seven to eight maps when Season 8 kicks off. The platform announced the change on its X page. The FACEIT Season 8 begins on April 22.

The list of candidate maps was put together by FACEIT’s top 1,000 players, ranked by Elo. From that shortlist, the broader community now votes on which map gets added.

So the highest-rated players filtered the options, but the final call goes to everyone.

The New Map Is Optional but Still Ranked

The eighth map will be optional in the queue. Players can include it in their matchmaking preferences or leave it out. Matches played on it will be ranked, with Elo fully active.

That means you won’t be forced onto it, but any games you do play there will count toward your rating.

Season 8 Brings More Changes Beyond the Map Pool

The map pool expansion is one part of a larger Season 8 overhaul. For the first time, every player will start the season with a soft Elo reset and 10 placement matches to determine their new rating.

The Elo will be temporarily hidden at the start of the season. Players need to complete at least 10 matches before their new level is revealed.

The platform says the goal is to reduce rating inflation and restore a healthier rank distribution across the ladder.

What the Current CS2 Map Pool Looks Like

Valve’s last major map pool update happened on January 22, 2026, when Premier Season Four began. Anubis was added to Active Duty, and Train was removed. FACEIT runs the same seven-map Active Duty pool, so the eighth map it adds will be something outside Valve’s current standard rotation.

Arc Raiders Flashpoint Update: Release Date, Time, and Expected Changes

The much-anticipated Arc Raiders Flashpoint update is just a day away, and it might just be Embark’s final shot at saving the game from a steadily declining player count that it has been experiencing over the past couple of months.

As already revealed by the developers in the Arc Raiders roadmap, the Flashpoint update is set to be a major content drop for the extraction shooter that will bring a series of new additions to the game.

While the detailed patch notes of the Arc Raiders Flashpoint update have not yet been revealed by Embark, we do have a rough idea about what the upcoming patch will bring to the title.

What’s New in Arc Raiders Flashpoint Update?

Taking a look at the official roadmap, we can see that the Arc Raiders Flashpoint update will bring with it the following new content:

  • New Map Condition
  • New Arc Threat
  • New Player Project
  • Scrappy Update

Over the past few days, Embark has also been teasing the Flashpoint update through a series of posts on the official Arc Raiders X handle. While the teasers have been mostly cryptic so far, leaks suggest that a new Arc called “Bishop” might be added to the game with this update.

Arc Raiders Flashpoint Update Release Date and Time

The Arc Raiders Flashpoint update will go live on March 31, 2026, at around 8:30 am UTC.

Is Arc Raiders Dying? A Look at the Current Player Count

Today marks five months since the launch of Arc Raiders, Embark Studios’ ambitious yet incredibly successful take on the extraction shooter genre. However, with the lack of major content updates, a good portion of the game’s player base has begun to grow bored with the game’s core gameplay loop, leading many to ask the inevitable question: Is Arc Raiders dying?

Arc Raiders Player Count Analyzed

To understand whether Arc Raiders is “dying,” we first have to take a look at the game’s player count and compare it to what it used to be a couple of months ago.

While there’s no reliable way to track the total player count of Arc Raiders, we can get a decent estimate by studying the game’s numbers on Steam.

Taking a look at Steam Charts, we can see that Arc Raiders averages around 100,000 players at any given time, peaking at 146,000 on March 30 at around midnight UTC.

While 146,000 peak concurrent players is, without a doubt, an impressive number that most titles on the platform could only dream of achieving, how does it compare to the game’s own numbers in the past?

As shown in the screenshot above, the player count of Arc Raiders has been on a steady downward trajectory over the past few months. The game used to regularly peak at over 400,000 players in January 2026, but that number has evidently decreased considerably since then.

Is Arc Raiders Dying?

While the current player count of Arc Raiders might seem low at first, there are a few key factors that you have to keep in mind while deciding whether it is “dying”:

  • The hype surrounding Arc Raiders has somewhat faded, and players might be getting tired of the gameplay loop and moving on to other titles.
  • There has been no major content update in well over a month.
  • The next major Arc Raiders update, Flashpoint, is due tomorrow.
  • The Flashpoint update might see a surge of returning players to the game, spiking its player numbers.

Lastly, a daily average of over 100,000+ players is still highly significant, consistently placing Arc Raiders among the top 15 most-played games on Steam on any given day. Not to mention, this figure doesn’t account for players on the Epic Games Store or on consoles.

Considering these factors, it’s safe to say that Arc Raiders is not a dead game. However, if Embark Studios doesn’t increase the pace of its content updates, players may eventually grow bored and move on to the next big thing.

How to Use the Dead Hand Terminal in CS2

In March of 2026, Counter-Strike 2 introduced the Dead Hand Terminal, which fundamentally changed how players acquire skins, moving away from the traditional box model, making the system more transparent and offering a more controlled experience by removing the element of chance.

What Is the Dead Hand Terminal in CS2?

The Dead Hand Terminal is a limited random shop system that will be replacing cases. Moving away from the luck factor associated with boxes, the system presents players with a plethora of items, and they can decide whether they want to buy them or let them go. Not only does it reduce uncertainty surrounding case unboxing, but it also controls overspending by players.

How the Dead Hand Terminal Works

Players can obtain a Dead Hand Terminal by earning XP through the weekly drop system, or they can get it from the Steam Community Market.

Unlike the cases, the Dead Hand Terminal will not need a key to unbox; therefore, purchasing a key is not needed to see what is inside.

Once you unbox a terminal, you will be shown 5 skins, which you can either get or skip:

  • Each offer would include a skin.
  • Items come with a fixed float value.
  • Prices will be decided by the game.

Players will be given the choice to either select it or go with the next skin, which brings a strategic element to the new unboxing process.

What Items Are Included in the Collection?

The Dead Hand Collection includes:

  • 17 weapon skins from community artists
  • 22 brand-new gloves

It goes without saying that the Dead Hand Terminal is a way of moving away from the traditional Container system to get skins, but the objective behind this is far from clear, as it renders the need to buy keys unnecessary. Valve never makes moves like this without underlying motives, and with time, we will realize how this benefits the game as a whole.

How to Complete ARC Raiders Week 22 Trials Challenges

0

The Week 22 Trials in ARC Raiders went live on March 30, 2026, and will run until April 5, 2026. Five challenges are available this week, with three reward tiers per challenge tied to specific score thresholds. This week’s batch drops right before the Flashpoint update, so finishing them is a good way to stock up on loot before the new content hits.

Here is everything you need to know to 3-star all five challenges.

How ARC Raiders Trials Work

Each week, players receive five Trial challenges viewable from the Trials menu. Completing actions tied to each challenge earns points. Certain challenges are locked to specific maps or map conditions, and players earn double points on maps running major conditions such as Night Raid, Electromagnetic Storm, Hidden Bunker, Locked Gate, Cold Snap, or Hurricane.

You need 1,000 points for one star, 2,500 points for two stars, and 4,000 points for three stars. Points carry over across multiple runs, so you do not need to hit 4,000 in one session. However, progress within a single raid is lost if you die. You must extract safely for your points to count.

Trial 1: Search First Wave Husks

This Trial requires you to search the decaying bodies of previous ARC units, which spawn across multiple maps as First Wave Husks. You can find them during the Husk Graveyard or Electromagnetic Storm map conditions, though only the Electromagnetic Storm awards double points. Even if other players have already breached the Husks, you can still search them and earn points.

For the best results, head to Spaceport and follow a route through the map to find these metal remains scattered in various shapes and sizes.

Quick steps:

  • Load into any map, with Dam Battlegrounds or The Blue Gate during Electromagnetic Storm as the top picks
  • Search every First Wave Husk you come across
  • Extract once you have enough points

Trial 2: Damage Shredders on Stella Montis

For the second challenge, you need to damage Shredders on the Stella Montis map. Deploy during Night Raid to earn double points. Run through the following route to find Shredders: Medical Research, then Atrium, then Cultural Archives, then Lobby, then Assembly. Target the Shredder’s thrusters to take them down faster. You can keep running the route even after hitting 4,000 points if you want to push for a higher personal score.

Trial 3: Damage Flying ARC Enemies

To complete this Trial, you need to damage flying ARC enemies. There are six flying ARC types in the game, and hitting any of them counts toward the Trial. This makes it one of the easier challenges to 3-star. A solid method is to use a Renegade or Osprey and snipe flying ARC from the roof of the Pipeline Tower during a Night Raid on Dam Battlegrounds.

When at the Pipeline Tower, use a Zipline or Snap Hook to reach the roof. Deploy a trap near the Zipline base to stop other Raiders from flanking you. Scout flying ARC, including Rocketeers from that position. Use Barricades or the rooftop containers for cover when enemies close in. To kill a Rocketeer, aim for two of its thrusters, or use Wolfpacks to bring it down faster.

Trial 4: Loot Containers in the Traffic Tunnels (Blue Gate, Locked Gate)

The fourth challenge requires you to deploy on The Blue Gate during the Locked Gate map condition. During this event, four unique keys can be found at specific points of interest. After grabbing all four keys, head to the Control Room to open the Locked Gates. This unlocks the path to the Traffic Tunnels, where a Bastion patrols the area. Bring a Deadline or Trailblazers to deal with it. Then loot every available container, including vehicle hoods, bus trunks, and side bays.

Trial 5: Search Rooftop Chimneys in Buried City (Bird City Condition)

For this Trial, load into Buried City during the Bird City map condition. Search rooftops for chimneys and loot them. There are plenty of chimneys available under these conditions, so finding enough should not be a problem. Focus on the eastern side of the map for the best density of chimneys, and extract once you have hit your target score.

During the Bird City condition, you must interact with bird nests across multiple rooftops to earn Trial scores.

Rewards and Ranking

Arc Raiders Challenge rewards are given automatically after a safe extraction. Reaching 1,000 points gives a random Uncommon item. Reaching 2,500 points gives a Rare item. Reaching 4,000 points gives an Epic item or blueprint. Rewards can only be claimed once per tier per week.

When Season 3 ends on April 29, players receive unique cosmetics based on their final rank. Holding at least Rookie II at season end unlocks the Trials Season 3 outfit called The Torque, with extra colorways and variants available for reaching higher ranks like Daredevil and Hotshot.

Jonathan Gaming Opens Up After BGIS 2026: Benching, 5th Place & What’s Next

0

Jonathan Gaming has broken his silence after one of the most emotionally charged tournament runs of his career. In a heartfelt message posted to his Instagram broadcast channel, the GodLike Esports star addressed his fanbase, the “Jonny Army,” following BGIS 2026, where GodLike finished in 5th place and he faced the rare experience of being benched mid-tournament.

What Happened to Jonathan in BGIS 2026

Jonathan’s absence from GodLike’s starting lineup on Day 1 of the BGIS 2026 Survival Stage in Hyderabad left the BGMI community stunned. For the first time in nearly seven years, one of Indian esports’ biggest names sat on the bench while his teammates took the field. The decision, as clarified by GodLike captain Manya, was purely strategic and not the result of any internal conflict within the squad.

Jonathan addressed the situation himself during a stream with ZGod, confirming that he made the benching decision with the team’s best interest in mind. He put his ego aside and prioritized what was best for the squad, which is why the team topped the Survival Stage standings with the lineup of Manya, Admino, Spower, and Godz. GodLike co-owner Amar also publicly stated that he still dreams of winning an official trophy with Jonathan, making it clear the player remains central to the organization’s future.

Jonathan Returns for Grand Finals

Despite the benching controversy, GodLike confirmed Jonathan’s return to the active roster for the BGIS 2026 Grand Finals in Chennai. ZGod confirmed his return, and GodLike entered the Chennai Trade Centre finals from March 27 to 29 with the lineup of Manya, Admino, Spower, and Jonathan. The team had shown excellent form, and everyone heading into the high-pressure final stage saw Jonathan’s LAN experience as a critical factor.

GodLike’s BGIS 2026 Grand Finals Run

GodLike had a strong start on Day 1 of the Grand Finals, finishing second overall with 63 points and two Chicken Dinners. However, the team could not sustain that form across all three days, ultimately finishing in 5th place with a prize of Rs 20,50,000. Team Soul, led by Nakul, claimed the BGIS 2026 championship with a dominant 173 points across 18 games, including 119 eliminations, while Genesis Esports finished as runner-up.

For GodLike, it was a painful result. The organization had finished as runners-up in the previous edition of BGIS, and Jonathan and the squad were desperate to go one step further this time.

Jonathan’s Message to Jonny Army

After the tournament concluded, Jonathan posted a sincere and emotional message on his Instagram broadcast channel directed at his devoted fanbase. He acknowledged that he went through feelings he had never experienced before during this season, including both highs and significant lows, but said he never stopped believing in himself. He expressed gratitude to his fans for keeping him motivated and pulling him out of his darkest moments throughout the tournament.

Jonathan also said that he feels like he disappointed his fans by not delivering a win, despite the team giving their best effort. This kind of vulnerability from a player of his stature resonates deeply with the BGMI community, and it is exactly why he has cultivated one of the most loyal fanbases in Indian esports. His willingness to be honest about his struggles, rather than deflecting, reflects a genuine connection with his audience.

What’s Next for Jonathan and GodLike

Perhaps the most exciting part of Jonathan’s broadcast message was the hint toward the future. He told the Jonny Army that “very new changes and crazy things” are coming up, signaling that major announcements could be on the horizon for both him and possibly GodLike Esports. Whether this refers to roster changes, new content ventures, or tournament plans for the next competitive cycle remains to be seen.

Jonathan’s ability to bounce back from adversity has been a defining trait of his career. Being benched and not winning BGIS 2026 would break lesser players, but for Jonathan, it appears to be fuel. The BGMI competitive calendar continues beyond BGIS, and with GodLike still among India’s top organizations, the “Jonny Army” has every reason to stay tuned.
