Heroic Announces NertZ’s Departure Amid Major Roster Reshuffle

Heroic has officially announced the departure of Guy “NertZ” Iluz after a year with the team. The Israeli rifler, known for his strong gameplay, is expected to join Liquid as a replacement for Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis.

This move marks another major shift for Heroic, as NertZ becomes the fourth player to leave the 2024 roster. Earlier in January, Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski, Abdul “degster” Gasanov, and René “TeSeS” Madsen transitioned to Falcons, leaving Heroic’s lineup in flux.

Adding to the uncertainty, Rasmus “sjuush” Beck is also rumored to join Ninjas in Pyjamas, leaving Heroic with only their coach, Eetu “sAw” Saha, who hinted at a complete rebuild for the organization.

Despite these changes, NertZ leaves behind an impressive legacy. With a 1.14 average rating, he narrowly missed a spot in the Top 20 CS2 players of the year. His final appearance in Heroic’s jersey was at the Shanghai Major, where the team narrowly lost to G2 in the quarter-finals.

As Heroic prepares for another rebuilding phase, fans will eagerly watch how NertZ performs in Liquid and whether Heroic can reclaim its position among the top contenders in esports.

What is Flex in Valorant? Everything You Need to Know

0

Valorant, the popular first-person shooter by Riot Games, has introduced an exciting new cosmetic item category called Flex. Launched with Valorant update 10.0 during Season 2025 // Act 1, Flex items are designed to let players express their personality in the game. Here’s a complete guide to understanding Flex in Valorant.

What is Flex in Valorant?

Flex items in Valorant are handheld cosmetics that can be equipped and displayed during matches. They function as a mix between sprays and melee weapons, enabling players to show off their style. These items can be accessed anytime—from the buy phase to intense firefights – letting players make a statement without affecting gameplay performance.

Unlike weapons or utility tools, Flex items do not provide any competitive advantage. They are purely aesthetic and visible to other players, although animations are only visible in first-person view.

How to Equip and Use Flex Items

Flex items can be added to a player’s inventory through the Collections menu. Players can assign up to four Flex items to their Spray wheel, making them easy to use during matches. However, equipping a Flex item doesn’t boost player movement speed, maintaining fairness in competitive gameplay.

How to Get Flex Items in Valorant

When players update Valorant to version 10.0 and log in, they receive a complimentary Flex item in their collection. Additionally, a premium Flex item is included in the paid tier of the Season 2025 // Act 1 Battle Pass.

While details about future releases remain unclear, Riot Games is expected to introduce more Flex items through upcoming Battle Passes, exclusive bundles, and the accessory store. Players should keep an eye on updates to expand their Flex collection.

Are Flex Items Pay-to-Win?

No, Flex items are purely cosmetic and do not impact gameplay mechanics or provide any strategic advantage. Riot Games has assured players that Flex items maintain Valorant’s competitive integrity, as movement speed with these items is the same as with abilities rather than melee weapons.

The introduction of Flex in Valorant brings a fun and expressive dimension to the game, allowing players to flaunt their style while maintaining competitive fairness. Whether you’re looking to collect free Flex items or unlock premium designs, this new cosmetic category offers exciting customization options for every Valorant fan.

Stay tuned for future updates and Battle Passes to expand your collection of Flex items and showcase your unique personality on the battlefield!

Valorant Tejo Agent Abilities: Full Details

Valorant has introduced a brand-new agent, Tejo, who promises to change the dynamics of tactical gameplay with explosive abilities. Set to launch with Valorant’s Season 2025 Act I on January 8, 2024, Tejo is already generating buzz among players for his aggressive skillset and strategic versatility.

Who is Tejo in Valorant?

Tejo is a Colombian intelligence operative with a background as a military veteran. His name references a traditional Colombian game involving explosives, hinting at his destructive playstyle. Known for his calm and collected demeanor, Tejo sports a stylish look with a yellow jacket, sunglasses, and an edgy attitude.

His teaser video shows him sipping Colombian coffee before springing into action, establishing his composed yet deadly persona.

Tejo’s Role and Playstyle in Valorant

Tejo is rumored to be an Initiator, designed to help teammates secure map control by revealing enemy positions and forcing opponents out of defensive setups. However, his aggressive abilities might also suit a Duelist role, making him highly versatile.

Key Features of Tejo’s Playstyle:

  • Aggressive Initiator – Focused on gathering intel while pushing enemies into unfavorable positions.
  • Versatile Toolkit – Combines recon and explosive damage for dual-purpose tactics.
  • Team-Oriented – Works seamlessly in group strategies but can also handle solo engagements.

Valorant Tejo’s Abilities – Full List

Tejo’s kit is tailored for both reconnaissance and offense, making him an impactful addition to any team.

  1. Stealth Drone – Deploys a drone to reveal enemy positions and suppress their abilities, offering an edge in duels.
  2. Sticky Grenade – Throws grenades that stick to surfaces, ideal for controlling chokepoints or forcing enemy movements.
  3. Guided Salvo – Fires homing missiles to clear spaces or initiate direct attacks, disrupting enemy formations.
  4. Tactical Strike – Launches a powerful strike to disorient enemies, perfect for taking map control during critical moments.

Each ability in Tejo’s arsenal encourages proactive gameplay, allowing players to pressure opponents while staying on the offensive.

Strategies and Counters Against Tejo

Tejo’s aggressive style makes him a dominant force, but some agents can counter his abilities effectively:

  • High-Mobility Agents (Jett, Raze, Omen) – Can quickly evade his guided explosives.
  • Healing Agents (Sage, Reyna, Phoenix) – Recover from his attacks and sustain prolonged fights.
  • Defensive Agents (Vyse) – Block Tejo’s utility with walls and barriers to disrupt his approach.

To counter Tejo, players should focus on dodging his abilities, denying information, and wasting his resources through unpredictable positioning.

What Tejo Brings to the Valorant Meta

Tejo’s introduction will likely shift the Valorant meta toward faster, information-driven engagements. His drone and missile abilities complement existing strategies while introducing new ways to control sites. Players can expect intense matches where positioning and timing are more critical than ever.

Free-for-All (FFA): The lowest-placed Guest team in LCP 2025 will have to compete in the FFA Guest spot against a team from participating Wild Card regions and other qualified teams from existing domestic leagues.

Regional Merit: Once the FFA concluded, the second LCP Guest team for the Regional Merit spot will be based on the following priority:

  1. If multiple Guest teams from the same home region remain, the lower-ranked Guest team from that region will participate in the P&R.
  1. If the remaining Guest teams represent different home regions, the Guest team with the second-lowest ranking in the LCP, regardless of home region, will take part in the Promotion & Relegation tournament.

Teams from the domestic league competing for the Regional Merit slot will not be eligible for the FFA slot. Guest teams that qualify for Worlds in the same year will also be excluded from the tournament.
