Marvel Rivals EMEA Invitational: Teams, Prize Pool & More

0

So, Marvel Rivals is really heating up, isn’t it? They’ve just dropped the lineup for the EMEA Invitational, and it’s a proper mix – the old guard and the fresh blood, all battling for that $100,000 pot. We’re talking OG and Fnatic, obviously, names everyone knows, but then you’ve got the likes of Virtus.pro, who threw their hat in the ring early, and Luminosity, who’s doubled down with two rosters.

And it’s not just the big names. You’ve got DUSTY from Iceland, Twisted Minds from Saudi Arabia, ECSTATIC, and Team Peps from France. It’s a real international showdown, which is exactly what you want to see in a new esport.

This Invitational series, with those regional $100,000 tournaments, is a smart move. Oceania and Asia are already wrapped up, with Kanga Esports and U4RIA NLE taking the crowns, respectively. Now, all eyes are on EMEA, kicking off on the 28th, and then it’s over to North America, where everyone’s buzzing about Sentinels potentially joining the fray.

The format for EMEA is interesting, too. Double elimination is always a good way to test a team’s resilience. Best-of-threes for the upper bracket, best-of-fives for the lower, and then a full-on best-of-seven for the Grand Final. It’s going to be a proper grind, and that’s exactly what fans want to see.

And let’s not forget, this isn’t a one-off. They’ve got the Championship Season 1, ‘Eternal Night Falls,’ coming up in March. It’s clear they’re serious about building a competitive scene, and honestly, after the game’s launch, you can see why. It’s got that spark, that potential to really take off.

Riot Announce Changes To Game Changers Championship 2025 Slot Allocation

0

With Stage 1 of Valorant Game Changers 2025 currently underway, Riot Games has revealed some major changes to the slot allocation for its final championship.

As confirmed by the Valorant devs in a recent blog post, the Game Changers Championship will see the entirety of Brazil, North America, and LATAM being grouped into a single Americas region.

As a result, the slot allocation for the 2025 GC Championship has also been changed.

Valorant Game Changers Championship 2025 Slot Allocation

Moving forward, the Americas region will have four slots in the event, while China will receive one, the Pacific region two, and EMEA three. The total number of slots in the tournament remains unchanged.

Three out of the four teams in the Americas will be decided by regional leagues across North America, Brazil, and LATAM. A new Game Changers Americas Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will decide the final team heading to the championship.

The Game Changers Americas LCQ will be held at Riot Games’ São Paulo studio, featuring a two-day LAN showdown between the second-place teams from the three aforementioned regions. The competition will kick off with a single round-robin stage on day one, where each team faces the others. The top two teams will then have to battle it out in a best-of-five grand final to secure the last remaining spot at the Game Changers Championship.

Further details regarding the Valorant Game Changers Championship 2025 event are yet to be revealed.

Arceus’s TCG Pocket Debut Leaked in Accidental Reveal

0

Arceus, the deity of the Pokémon universe, might reign supreme in lore, but its upcoming TCG Pocket card appears to be surprisingly balanced. Debuting in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Arceus was introduced as a Pokémon god, the very creator of the universe. In the games, players even receive an avatar of Arceus to command in battle, cementing its status as one of, if not the most powerful Pokémon.

Given this legendary status, TCG Pocket fans eagerly anticipated the arrival of an Arceus card, expecting a game-breaking powerhouse. However, leaks suggest a different story.

According to Centro LEAKS on X, the Arceus card will headline the “Triumphant Light” set. A leaked teaser trailer showcases the Arceus Ex card, and it’s… well, not quite the god-tier card many envisioned.

Its most potent attack, “Ultimate Force,” deals 70+ damage. Respectable, sure, but hardly earth-shattering. Plenty of other Ex cards boast far more impressive damage output. It’s a bit of a shock to see a supposed god outclassed by, say, a Charizard.

While some players have praised the card’s “cool design” and expressed excitement about adding it to their decks, the general consensus seems to be one of mild disappointment. The card simply doesn’t live up to the hype surrounding the Pokémon’s lore.

That said, a truly lore-accurate Arceus card would likely devastate the TCG Pocket meta. Even the mainline Pokémon games take liberties with Arceus’s power, portraying it as an avatar of the true divine being. It’s likely that TCG Pocket is following suit, offering a balanced and playable version of the creator Pokémon, rather than one that warps the entire game.

How to Sabotage Payphones in Fortnite?

0

Need to sabotage some payphones in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 2? You’re not alone. Plenty of quests, like those for Valentina and Skillet, require you to mess with these old-school devices. The good news is, that you don’t have to search far and wide. All three payphones are conveniently located in one spot.

Forget trekking across the map. These ringing relics are all found at Outlaw Oasis, the same swanky spa where you can team up with Valentina. This POI, a sprawling complex of modern buildings and hot springs, sits on the west side of the map. If you’re lost, head west of Crime City, and you can’t miss it.

How to Sabotage Payphones in Fortnite?

So, where are these payphones hiding within Outlaw Oasis? The first one is easy to spot – it’s right by the main entrance. Another payphone is tucked around the corner of the tallest building towards the back of the POI. And the third one? It’s attached to the building on the left that overlooks the central hot springs.

Sabotaging these phones is a breeze. Just stroll up to the ringing device and interact with it. Unsabotaged payphones will not only ring as you approach but also sport a glowing white aura. Plus, handy white exclamation marks pop up on your minimap, making them even easier to pinpoint.

A word of caution, though. When you sabotage a payphone, your character goes through a short animation, during which you’re stuck in place. This makes you a sitting duck for any rival players who also landed at Outlaw Oasis, so be prepared for a potential firefight.
