What’s Next for Godlike Esports in BGIS 2026 After Disappointing The Grind Performance?

The BGIS 2026 The Grind stage has officially concluded, and Godlike Esports’ performance fell short of expectations. Competing in Group A, the team played 24 matches, managed to score 103 points, and finished in 13th position, missing out on a direct Quarter Finals qualification.

Following this result, many fans have started asking the big question, is Godlike Esports’ BGIS 2026 journey already over? The simple answer is no. Despite the underwhelming performance, Godlike Esports is still alive in the tournament, as The Grind stage was conducted only for performance-based seeding, with no eliminations at this level.

Group A was widely considered the most competitive group of BGIS 2026 The Grind. This was because it featured the top 16 performing teams from BGIS 2025, making the overall competition extremely intense.

The biggest advantage of Group A was that the top eight teams earned direct entry into the Quarter Finals, while teams from other groups had to go through additional stages. Because of this, every match in Group A carried massive importance.

Teams That Secured Direct Quarter Finals Qualification

After 24 matches, the top eight teams from Group A successfully booked their spots in the BGIS 2026 Quarter Finals. These teams are:

  • K9 Esports
  • Gods Reign
  • True Rippers
  • Higg Bason Esports
  • Blitz Esports
  • Autobotz Esports
  • Team Soul
  • Nebula Esports

Unfortunately, teams finishing in the bottom half, including Godlike Esports and Orangutan, now have to take the longer route to qualification.

Godlike Esports’ Next Challenge: BGIS 2026 Round 4

Godlike Esports will next compete in BGIS 2026 Round 4, scheduled to be played from February 19 to February 22.

In this stage:

  • 128 teams will compete
  • Teams will be divided into 8 groups
  • Each team will play only 6 matches
  • Top 7 teams from each group will qualify for the Quarter Finals

This means Godlike Esports must finish inside the top 7 of their group at all costs. Any slip-up here could seriously damage their direct qualification hopes.

Wildcard Round: The Final Lifeline for Godlike

Even if Godlike Esports fails to secure a top 7 finish in Round 4, the team will still have one last chance.

After Round 4, the bottom eight teams from each group will be placed into a combined points table. From this table, the top eight teams will advance to the Wildcard Round, where a spot in the Semi Finals will be on the line.

This ensures that Godlike Esports’ doors are not fully closed yet, even if Round 4 does not go as planned.

So far in BGIS 2026, Godlike Esports’ synergy has not looked convincing. The team’s decision-making has appeared inconsistent, and the performances of their three MVP players have not matched their usual high standards.

These issues are something the team will need to address quickly if they want to stay competitive in the later stages of the tournament.

Can Godlike Esports Make a Comeback in BGIS 2026?

With the main stages of BGIS 2026 now underway, Godlike Esports still has a real chance to make a comeback. This is a team that has bounced back from pressure situations before, and fans will be hoping to see them return to their best form in Round 4.
