VCT 2023 Pacific League: Top Teams to Watch Out For

The competitive Valorant scene is entering a new phase with the start of the VCT 2023 season. The highest level of professional Valorant is now represented by three international leagues, which lead to major global events such as Masters and Champions. The premier level of Valorant has become even more exclusive as each league has only 10 partnered teams. The following is a comprehensive list of all the teams that will be competing in the Pacific League.

Teams are their lineups.

Which teams are there in Pacific league team in VCT 2023?

Zeta Division

Zeta Division will enter the VCT 2023 season with no major changes. The team’s starting lineup sent shockwaves with their remarkable third-place finish at Masters Reykjavik 2022, which was the best performance by any Japanese team in the tournament’s history. Despite their exit in the ninth to twelfth spot at Valorant Champions 2022, it would be unwise for other teams to underestimate them. Zeta holds the potential to make a statement and outperform every other team in the Pacific League.

Talon Esports

Talon Esports boasts a healthy mix of experienced players and young. The core of the roster is made up of the XERXIA Esports trio of foxz, Crws, and sushiboys, who have plenty of experience competing at the highest level of international tournaments. In addition, the team has displayed positive performance which gives their fans hope that they can take some scalps at the tournament. They have always been an exciting team and with the return of Patiphan, they look better than ever.

T1

T1 having left North America has turned back to Seoul to put together a team that takes them back to the apex of competitive Valorant. Their team consists entirely of Korean players, and it’s packed with talented individuals, including xeta and Sayaplayer. Moreover, the team is completed by the addition of Lee “Carpe” Jae-hyeok. T1 has the necessary tools to do well but only time can tell if they make something of this event.

Team Secret

Even though 2021 was relatively successful, Team Secret did not replicate the same performances in the following year. Team Secret is a big name and made their way to the Pacific league, having secured a partnership. The team recently acquired Adrian “invy” Reyes and Lionel “lenne” Lim to fill the spots left vacant by Riley “Witz” Go and Kevin “dispenser” Te. These additions are meant to make them a formidable force this event provides them with an ideal stage to announce to the world that they are back.

Paper Rex

Paper Rex will don the same lineup that was the reason behind the outstanding success throughout the year. They have been surprised at the biggest stages and by one of the most threatening Asian teams in the world right now. With clutch players throughout their roster and exceptional mechanical skills, this team is always eager to take on any aim duel they encounter. Their gameplay remains one of the most entertaining to watch on the grand stage, and they are by far one of the favourites heading into the Pacific league.

RRQ

The organization has added two more Indonesian players to the roster, fl1pzjder and Lmemore. Together with some of Indonesia’s most skilled players on board, the new RRQ team appears to be a far more capable machine, although they are still considered underdogs in the league. The value of the experience that some of the players boast will be evident in the big matches and we will get some in this event.

Global Esports

The roster of Global Esports consists of seven players from five different countries who are mostly in Duelist which call into question some of their tactics heading into the event but AYRIN, a former XSET player, leads the team, and the team will need to figure out how to make their mechanically gifted players work together in order to be successful. However, the team is filled with talents like t3xture and Bazzi who will even out the roster.

Gen.G

Gen.G just like T1 boasts an all-Korean lineup for VCT 2023. k1Ng and Meteor have been the two best players for them in recent times but other names must pull their weight if we are to see them make a deep run. Gen.G as an organisation has deep roots in Asian esports and they certainly want to come out with the status of a heavyweight upon the conclusion of the event.

DRX

DRX has consistently proven themselves as the top team in Korea throughout the year. Their impressive teamwork and dominance in the Korean circuit have earned them a spot as one of the top teams to watch out for in the Pacific League. A third-place finish at the Valorant Champions 2022 has proven instrumental for their confidence which has resulted in better performances in stages of importance.

DetonatioN Gaming

DetonatioN Gaming’s roster has inexperience written all over which might make it difficult in an event that takes everything to win. The addition of xnfri has made things interesting but only time can tell if he can deliver on the big stage yet again. The team lacks big names but has the chemistry to make up for it and said chemistry will be the key if they are to make a deep run in the event.

The VCT Pacific league kicks off on March 25 and fans can watch the matches on Riot Games Twitch and YouTube channels.
