Royal Challenge Partners with Upthrust Esports for WCG National Showdown India 2025

Royal Challenge Packaged Drinking Water has teamed up with Upthrust Esports and Big Picture Inc. as an official partner for the WCG National Showdown India 2025, marking a major moment for the Indian gaming scene.

The World Cyber Games (WCG), one of the world’s most recognized international esports tournaments, has made its return to India with Upthrust Esports leading the local execution. The event unites 32 of India’s top gaming creators and pro esports players across eight teams captained by big names like Mortal, Scout, Jonathan, Payal, Kaashvi, Mizo, Sherman, and lolzzz.

After an intense online phase held from November 5 to 7, Team Mizo dominated the Group Wars, while Scout earned multiple MVP titles. The top four teams will now clash at the LAN Grand Finale on November 12–13 at CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai. The offline showdown will crown the national champions who will go on to represent India at the WCG 2025 Global Festival in Indonesia.

Fans can expect an action-packed weekend with creator battles across major gaming titles, meet-and-greets, brand experience zones from Royal Challenge and Gigabyte, as well as live performances and giveaways. Tickets are available on Swiggy Scenes and Upthrust’s official channels, with live broadcasts on YouTube via WCG and Upthrust Esports.

As the event’s Hydration Partner, Royal Challenge Packaged Drinking Water will bring an interactive fan zone offering gaming challenges, exclusive giveaways, and meetups with top creators. The brand aims to promote focus, clarity, and performance, values that resonate both in esports and everyday life.

Speaking about the collaboration, Ben Choi, WCG Team Lead at Bigpicture Interactive, highlighted India’s booming gaming community, calling it “a celebration of community, creativity, and competition.” Upthrust Esports Founder and CEO Kartik Sabherwal added that this partnership represents “a new era for Indian gaming where community stands strong and India takes center stage.”

Meanwhile, Smilegate continues its global partnership with WCG, featuring its title “BTS Cooking On STOVE: TinyTAN Restaurant” as part of the Creator Rumble showcase. The event further strengthens India’s growing presence on the world esports map.
