The PUBG Mobile 4.2 update beta has revealed an exciting new Prime Wood Genesis theme mode based on nature. This update brings many fresh gameplay features, including the Scorpion and Deer vehicles, new map changes, a tree-like AI companion, and even new weapons to use in battles. Renowned PUBG Mobile/BGMI creator Classified YT shared all these details in his latest video. Here is everything you need to know about the PUBG Mobile 4.2 update theme mode, map changes, hot drops, special vehicles, new enemies, and weapons.
Here is a breakdown of the key features and additions spotted in the PUBG Mobile 4.2 Update Beta
The Prime Wood Genesis Mode and Mirror Island
The centerpiece of the 4.2 Update is the Prime Wood Genesis mode, which drastically changes the Erangel map.
Massive Tree Structure: A gigantic tree, similar to a Mirror Island structure, is introduced, sprawling high above the map. This structure is intended to be a new combat and looting zone.
Radio Active Zone: The area surrounding the tree is designated as a “Radio Active Zone,” which players are warned to protect themselves against.
Access Portals: Players will use portals, marked with blue circles on the map, to ascend to the fighting zone on the tree.

Map Changes and Hot Drops
The update introduces significant changes to several iconic locations:
Fixed Hot Drops: The Prime Wood Genesis features fixed hot drop locations, confirmed to be Pochinki and Yasnaya Polyana.
New Structures and Pathways: These hot zones now feature new structures, palaces, courtyards, and unique pathways/bridges (resembling giant tree roots) that connect different parts of the area, allowing players to traverse above the original locations.
Special Vehicle: The Summonable Scorpion
One of the most exciting new features is a personal, summonable vehicle:
Scorpion Horn: Players can find and use the “Scorpion Horn” item, which adds a new button to the screen to summon the Scorpion vehicle.
Personal Vehicle Advantage: The Scorpion vehicle is portable. When the player exits, it instantly goes into the backpack, meaning it becomes the player’s personal vehicle/bodyguard that can be summoned again in an open area.
Abilities: It has special attack modes, including a basic Ability (a pouncing/stomping move) and Launch Spikes, which is a powerful ranged attack capable of defeating the new in-game boss.
New Enemies and Weapons
The mode also brings new threats and unique gear:
The Guardian Boss: A new boss, identified as the Guardian, is present in the hot drop zones, notably at Yasnaya Polyana. This menacing tree-like entity attacks players with poisonous liquid and can summon smaller enemy trees.
New Special Weapon: A new, currently unidentified weapon with a green wave aesthetic was found in the PUBG Mobile 4.2 update leaks. It is speculated to have a special ability similar to the Snow M24, possibly binding enemies with tree roots upon impact.
