Following the backlash, the company deleted the reveal trailer, although screenshots and clips of the video had already been widely shared online.

In the trailer, a global map animation highlights different regions where the game’s esports events will take place. During this sequence, viewers noticed that the northern portion of India appeared altered, with regions such as PoK and Aksai Chin seemingly removed from the country’s borders.

According to the official map of India, these regions are considered integral parts of the country. Because of this, any depiction that excludes them is often considered incorrect or controversial in India.

The issue quickly gained attention on gaming communities and social media platforms, where several users criticized the game developers for the mistake. Some fans also called for the company to correct the map and issue a clarification.
