Team Heretics Benches Perkz for LEC 2024 Spring: Reports

Team Heretics has made a significant roster change by benching their mid laner, Perkz, ahead of the 2024 LEC Spring Split, as per Sheep Esports report. This move marks a pivotal shift in the team’s strategy, opting for fresh talent over established prowess.

Team Heretics is gearing up for the upcoming season with a bold strategy, promoting Zwyroo, a player with extensive professional experience yet new to the LEC stage, to replace Perkz.

Despite being a rookie in the LEC, Zwyroo, at 25, brings a wealth of experience to the table. His debut is highly anticipated, joining a roster filled with seasoned players.

Perkz’s tenure with Heretics was short-lived, spanning just one split. Despite high expectations, the team’s performance under his guidance was underwhelming, finishing seventh in the LEC with a 4-5 record.

The team’s playoff journey was equally disappointing, with losses to Team BDS and SK Gaming, marking an early exit. Perkz’s performance, highlighted by a KDA of 2.7 and negative early-game stats, raised concerns.

The decision to bench Perkz also dissolves the formidable mid-jungle synergy he had with Jankos, reminiscent of their successful days at G2 Esports. This change signals the end of an era for the duo, once celebrated for their dominance in the late 2010s.

In addition to Zwyroo’s promotion, Heretics has also welcomed Trymbi, a LoL veteran support, to their starting lineup, replacing Kaiser. This move is part of the team’s broader strategy to refresh its roster for the Spring Split.

With these significant changes, Team Heretics is poised for a new beginning in the 2024 LEC Spring Split. The team’s opening match against Team Vitality on March 9 will be a crucial test of their revamped lineup and strategy.
