Gamer2Maker Founder Rahul Sehgal Passes Away
Gamer2Maker shared very sad news through the Instagram account of Rahul Sehgal on Sunday, 16 November 2025, saying “We are deeply saddened to share that Rahul Sehgal is no longer with us. Rahul was the driving force behind Gamer2Maker and someone who changed the lives of thousands of students across India. His work, his energy and his belief in people helped build a community that will always carry his vision forward.”
“We know many of you will want to share your thoughts and memories. We request you to give the family and the team some space as we process this loss. All Gamer2Maker programs and commitments will continue as planned. Rahul built G2M with the idea that learning should never stop and we will honor that by keeping everything running with the same passion and clarity he taught us with. Thank you for standing with us and for keeping Rahul in your prayers.”

Who was Rahul Sehgal?
Rahul Sehgal was a key person in the Indian game development industry. He started building games in 2009, after leaving a 14-year career as a Merchant Navy officer. Over the years, he worked across Mobile, PC, Console and Online Casino games. He was the creative head at Entain’s India studio and worked on many successful titles.
In 2021, Rahul founded Gamer2Maker, which soon became one of India’s best game development schools. His goal was simple, to help students become real game developers. Through strong mentorship programs in Game Design, Game Art and Programming, Rahul trained thousands of students across the country.
He also taught game design at IIT Hyderabad and mentored students at various institutes. His passion and energy made him a beloved teacher and guide.
In the Instagram post, the Gamer2Maker team said that all their programs will continue as planned. They shared that Rahul built G2M with the belief that learning should never stop. The team promised to run everything with the same passion and clarity that Rahul taught them.
