Epic Games has now officially unleashed the start of Fortnite Winterfest 2025, including the return of the popular free cosmetics cabin, but this time around offering a “fundamental” play change requiring daily play participation by those hoping to collect the whole armory of rewards.
The prize unlocks include two high-end skin rewards, both of which have already been discovered through datamining and concept art surveys by Epic themselves. These come along with a handpicked selection of 16 gifts containing back blings, pickaxes, emotes, sprays, and an exclusive jam track remix of “Carol of Bells” entitled “Just A Holiday in Battlewood.”

However, this is where Epic changed its playbook dramatically. Now, these presents no longer stack. Both this and the previous points are the largest adjustments made to the WinterFest formula in years. According to the previous system, players had an opportunity to wait until the 5th of January and pick up all accumulated gifts at once.
This change of structure requires constant interaction throughout 18 days (December 18, 2025, through January 4, 2026) and caters to industry trends of incorporating daily login systems into overall game retention. For regular Fortnite players with 7-13 gifts to open, the requirements will be minimal.
The one area not found within the free version is the strongly rumored Harry Potter cosmetics and Hatsune Miku series, both of which are found in the item shop. Snow Miku will drop on the 19th of December, and the set featuring the musical talents of Sabrina Carpenter will come out on the 22nd.
