Epic Games has initiated a widely expected collaboration between Fortnite and The Simpsons as Bart Simpson’s signature treehouse has started showing up on the battle royale island as part of a multi-phased event build-up that will ultimately transform the full map.
The event started on October 26, 2025, when players found a cartoon-style sprout tree that was appearing close to Creepy Camps in the northwestern part of the map. This was Stage 1 of what dataminers have verified is a three-stage pre-event chain and culminates in the official Simpsons mini-season release on November 1.
Through the progression of the stages, the sapling grows into a mature tree before the treehouse takes shape and becomes Bart’s iconic treehouse. The interior of the finished treehouse has a television set showing static-screened images such as hit Simpsons memes like Homer vanishing into shrubs, technical failure screens, and peeks of what leakers recognize as “the Dark Presence”- an enigmatic being related to Fortnite’s ever-evolving narrative.

The build-up is a hype for what several industry sources characterize as one of Fortnite’s most ambitious undertakings to date. As per universal leaks by reputable dataminers such as HYPEX and ShiinaBR, the whole of the Fortnite island would be overhauled into Springfield with cel-shaded visual effects akin to The Simpsons‘ classic animation style.
The leaked Springfield map features classic locations like Evergreen Terrace, Moe’s Tavern, Krusty Burger, Duff Brewery, and the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, which is where Homer is employed. The overhaul is a departure from the usual Fortnite collaborations, which tend to involve character skins and themed items over full island makeovers.
Epic Games will announce the collaboration officially between October 28-30 via an in-game live event on October 31 at 2 PM Eastern Time. The event is said to include the return of UFOs and end with Kang and Kodos, the alien pair of The Simpsons Halloween specials, appearances.
The Simpsons mini-season will last from November 1 to November 28, acting as a bridge between Chapter 6 and Chapter 7. The Battle Pass will reportedly feature Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Ned Flanders, Moe, and Krusty the Clown, as well as Simpsons-themed remixes of other Fortnite characters such as Peely and Fishstick.
Certain industry experts theorize that the broad collaboration is advanced marketing for The Simpsons Movie 2, to be released in July 2027. Although Epic Games has not yet made official announcements, the company humorously altered Fortnite’s official website logo to “Fart Knight” with the subtitle “Eat My Shorts,” the catchphrase of Bart, hinting at the collaboration’s announcement to come.
