Fortnite Showdown Rivalry Act 2 Confirmed for April 16

Epic Games dropped the trailer for Fortnite Showdown Rivalry Act 2 on April 10, 2026. It is short, but it confirms a lot. Slone, Daigo, and The Elites are coming back, and a new weapon appears to be on the way.

The update goes live on April 16, 2026.

What the Trailer Shows

The trailer opens with Elite Jules, available in the current Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass, working on and testing a weapon. The weapon appears to be a charge-based energy gun that fires exploding orbs.

The clip ends with text that reads: “The Elites will return in Fortnite Showdown Act 2.”

Fortnite officially posted the trailer with the caption: “On 4.16 the rivalry evolves. The Elites are coming.”

Who Are The Elites?

The Elites are a faction first introduced in Chapter 6. SHADOW agent Zadie leads the group, which includes Slone and Jules. Daigo joined the faction after the events of the Zero Hour live event.

The group has appeared in Chapter 7 through coded messages sent to the character Hope. Act 2 is set to bring them into the open conflict against the Dark Voyager.

As a member of The Elites, Daigo ditched his old equipment from his Mask Maker days. He now wears black technological armor with yellow lines and a high-tech full-face helmet.

The Elite Daigo outfit was released in Chapter 7 Season 1, and is part of The Elites cosmetic set.

What Changes in Act 2

Act 1 of the Showdown Rivalry focused on the conflict between the Ice King and the Foundation. Act 2 shifts focus to Elite Jules going head-to-head with Dasha, a character also in the Chapter 7 Season 2 Battle Pass.

Both sides will have new milestones for players to complete, similar to how Act 1 was structured.

The trailer also teases what looks like a new weapon entering the loot pool. No official name has been confirmed yet.

Showdown Rivalry Context

The Fortnite Showdown event has been running since March 19, 2026, and was set to end on April 16, 2026. The Showdown system lets players pick a side, Team Foundation or Team Ice King, and earn Rivalry Credits by eliminating marked opponents in matches.

Rivalry Credits can be used to purchase weapons and perks, and they carry over between matches.

Physical rewards are also on the table for top leaderboard performers, including an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 and a PlayStation 5.

The arrival of Act 2 on April 16 lines up with the next scheduled Fortnite update.
