The holiday season is here, and so is Epic Games’ much-loved December mystery game event, giving away a bunch of beloved titles to gamers for free all month long.
Similar to previous years, the 2025 Epic Games mystery game giveaways are expected to include a bunch of popular AAA games, which users can redeem for free simply by having an account on the platform.
The first mystery game for the event has already been revealed, and it’s a big one. Announced during The Game Awards, Epic Games is giving away Hogwarts Legacy for free as the opening title of the event. But you’ll have to be quick, as it’s only available to claim until December 18 before being replaced by a new game.
Epic Games December 2025 Mystery Games Reportedly Leaked
While Epic Games has yet to officially confirm any of the upcoming mystery game giveaways, the full list of games that the company will give away during the event has reportedly been leaked online.
The leaks initially came from a user on the Chinese social media app QQ, and they’ve since started circulating on X and other platforms.
We couldn’t verify the authenticity of these leaks, and some of the leaked titles seem a little too good to be true, so we recommend taking this list with a large grain of salt.
Epic Games Mystery Games December 2025: Full Leaked List

- Desperados 3 – December 19th
- Total War: Warhammer – December 20th
- Tropico 5 – December 21st
- Chicken Police – Paint it Red! – December 22nd

Are the Epic Games Mystery Games Leaks Accurate?
A number of factors suggest that the aforementioned leaked list may not be entirely accurate. For starters, Terraria is not available on the Epic Games Store at all, immediately calling the credibility of the leak into question. However, there’s always a chance of the title being debuted on the platform on the same date.
On top of that, Epic Games has traditionally reserved its biggest giveaway for December 25th. In this case, however, the list claims that Commander Keen would be offered on Christmas Day, while major titles such as Detroit: Become Human and Red Dead Redemption 2 are supposedly scheduled for December 29 and 31. This doesn’t align with Epic’s usual giveaway strategy.
As a result, we recommend treating this leaked list with a healthy dose of skepticism.
