Valve has launched a 1.1 GB Counter-Strike 2 patch on September 24, 2025, and it is directly focused on fixing ongoing movement problems that have been the issue for both amateur and competitive play. The patch comes after Valve faced mass community criticism for imprecise strafing behavior and slow ramp crossing.
The update corrects an issue that prevented players from initiating movement while simultaneously moving the mouse, as well as abnormally low movement speeds when walking on sloped ground. It also corrects clipping and stuck-player issues on popular maps, such as Ancient and Train, ensuring a smoother and more stable gameplay experience for everyone.
