Team Falcons Kicks Out PaiN to Reach Fissure Playground 2 Semi-Finals

Map 1: Inferno; Pick: paiN; Winner: Falcons

Starting with a solid buy conversion off the back of a 3K from NiKo, Falcons got on the board. With little effort, the Falcons managed to rack up 8 rounds as paiN managed some as well, but they were few and far between. Following a strong defense, the Falcons built on it with a pistol round win, as the team went undefeated for the remainder of the map to take an early lead in the series. Behind the dominant 13-4 win was a 17-kill masterclass from NiKo, who dropped a masterclass on the stage to open up their playoffs.

Map 2: Ancient; Pick: Falcons; Winner: Falcons

Starting strong with a pistol round win, the Falcons dropped the ball in the following round, allowing the Brazilian side to convert a force buy. The only saved gun from the second round in NiKo’s hand helped convert the following round, which led to Falcons putting a streak of rounds until clever eco from paiN took back control. With an evenly matched half concluding, the Falcons swapped sides with a 7-5 scoreline. Swapping sides, the Falcons dropped one more round before closing the map with a 13-6 scoreline. Kyousuke, with 21 kills, dropped a masterclass to seal the series.

Brick by brick, Zonic is turning the roster into what the Falcons were always meant to be. With no shortage of criticism being hurled down on the team since its inception, the Falcons’ recent performances would have the critics take back their opinions. With this win, the star-stacked roster will find themselves in the semi-finals and a step closer to the trophy, but only time can tell what becomes of this stack.
