Teams Qualified for StarLadder Budapest Major Playoffs

  1. Team Spirit: Coming into the playoffs undefeated, Spirit is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, teams at the Major. One can argue that they are yet to face an in-form side, but a good day from Donk does not care about how well the opponent is playing, and given the bracket they have found themselves in, we might see them go all the way.
  2. Falcons: Having already lost two matches in Stage 3, Falcons qualified on the final day by the skin of their teeth. Their performances hardly give fans the confidence they need to believe that this superteam could do what they were meant to do. Some solid performances from them are getting downplayed with some undisputed stinkers, and unless they fix it on the fly, the Falcons are not going beyond Quarters.
  3. Vitality: Coming into the event having lost their position as the best team in the world to FURIA, who aren’t as solid as they looked earlier this year. Vitality as a team is in desperate need of this Major to mark their era, but the path to it will be far from easy.
  4. The MongolZ: Despite being the underdogs, MongolZ has taught all these teams over the course of 2025 that they are not to be taken lightly. On an odd day, they can pull off a couple of upsets, and if that happens, we can see MongolZ reach back-to-back Major finals.
  5. MOUZ: MOUZ has delivered strong performances throughout the year but failed to hit consistency. Not winning a trophy in recent times speaks to the morale of the team that is hungry for a trophy, and with their star man, Torzsi, playing on home soil, MOUZ would be a threat that would be foolish to underestimate.
  6. FaZe: FaZe is a team that simply doesn’t give up. Having started their campaign all the way in Stage 1, FaZe has bounced back from the brink of elimination more times than any other team in this event. The FaZe plot armour seems to never end, and playoffs on the Stage are where they shine, and only time will tell how they will fare in the event.
  7. FURIA: The Brazilian wonder came into form late in 2025 and turned into real tournament contenders. Winning back-to-back events before the Major, FURIA is the team that everyone wants to beat, and the favorites to win the event, but Counter-Strike MAJOR playoffs are a different game altogether.
  8. NAVI: NAVI, having played poorly all season long, has shown visible signs of improvement at the Major. With their individuals playing well, the sides keep delivering, and now they are in the Quarter Finals of the Major. Even though critics have written them off from the event, something tells us there is more to their game than meets the eye.

Major playoffs are this weekend, and this will be one of the most stacked Major playoffs in recent memory. Fans will have a feast with all the stars competing in high-stakes matches with no clear favorites or underdogs, and only time will tell who comes out on top.
