Second CS2 Major of 2026 to Be Held in Singapore, PGL Confirms

PGL has confirmed that the second CS2 Major of 2026 will be held in Singapore, marking the first time in history that Counter-Strike’s biggest tournament will be hosted in Southeast Asia.

The PGL Singapore Major 2026, scheduled to run from November 25 to December 13, 2026, will feature 32 elite teams from around the world competing for a $1.25 million USD prize pool.

The tournament will span across three competitive stages, with the final four days taking place in front of a live audience at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

“Bringing the first Counter-Strike Major to Singapore is a moment that truly inspires us,” Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL, said in a statement. “This city has been home to some of our most memorable esports events, and we’ve always felt the energy and passion of the fans here. Returning now with a Counter-Strike Major feels like the natural next step.”

Singapore has previously hosted many of PGL’s major Dota 2 events, including the 2021 Singapore Major and The International 2022. That experience makes Singapore a logical choice for organizing a CS2 Major. It will also stand as the fifth esports event PGL has brought to Singapore.

PGL is no stranger to organizing CS2 Majors either. The PGL Singapore Major is set to be the fifth CS2 Major to be hosted by the company. In fact, the top three most-watched Counter-Strike events of all time, namely the Stockholm 2021 Major, the Antwerp 2022 Major, and the Copenhagen 2024 Major, were all organized by PGL.

Before the Singapore Major arrives, CS2 fans can look forward to IEM Cologne 2026, the first CS2 Major of the year, which will be hosted by ESL and begin on June 2.
