PGL has officially confirmed the full list of teams invited to the upcoming PGL Astana 2026 Counter-Strike 2 tournament.
PGL Astana 2026, which is set to commence from May 7, 2026, will feature 16 elite CS2 teams competing for a share of the whopping $1.6 million USD prize pool.
On March 10, PGL confirmed the names of 12 teams that have received direct invites to the event. The remaining 4 teams will be selected through regional qualifiers in Europe, North America, South America, and Asia.
Notably, two of the top ten teams, Vitality and NAVI, have declined invitations to PGL Astana 2026. Meanwhile, another invited team, FUT, has accepted invites to both IEM Atlanta and PGL Astana as a contingency in case the team is unable to secure visas.
“PGL allowed every team to withdraw from the event until a certain date, which is after the deadline for visa grant for IEM Atlanta,” an FUT representative told HLTV in a statement.

The playoffs for PGL Astana 2026 will be held in the Barys Arena, with ticket sales for the event already live.
