FaZe to Start PGL Bucharest 2026 with 0-2 Record

The FaZe Clan, one of the favorites to win PGL Bucharest 2026, will now start the event with two matches lost. This leaves them with absolutely no room for error due to a scheduling conflict with HLC Belgrade PRO.

HLC Belgrade PRO might not be a top-tier event, but FaZe Clan’s appearance here would give them a shot at a position in Stage 1 of the upcoming Major. As the final two days of the event clash, forfeiting the opening two matches at Bucharest will be most beneficial, even though far from ideal for FaZe’s perspective.

Giving up two back-to-back matches means FaZe starts their campaign with a 0-2 scoreline, which leaves them with no room for error. From the point where they start playing, FaZe must win all their matches in the groups before they hit the playoffs, and losing would harm their Major dreams.

It goes without saying that this is the lowest point in FaZe Clan’s history as an organization, and to think they would go to such lengths to keep their Major dream alive goes to show that passion is still alive within the roster.

Only time will tell whether this risk pays off, and if it does, it will be a historic run from an organization with a knack for pulling off surprises when people least expect them.
