BMPS 2026: Everything We Know So Far

Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series 2026 (BMPS 2026) is the second major stop in Krafton India’s official BGMI esports calendar for 2026. Following massive success of BGIS 2026, it is shaping up to be one of the most consequential domestic tournaments. With a slot to the Esports World Cup on the line, the stakes could not be higher

What Is BMPS 2026?

BMPS is Krafton India’s invite-only pro circuit event that brings together the best competitive BGMI teams in the country. Unlike BGIS, which is open-to-all, BMPS is reserved for teams that have already proven themselves through earlier competitions. Krafton introduced this to create a clear funnel from grassroots to global representation. BMPS sits at the top of that pyramid.

Dates and Schedule

According to Krafton India’s official 2026 esports roadmap, BMPS 2026 will take place from June 14 to July 6, 2026. BMPS 2026 runs right before the Esports World Cup in Riyadh. The timing is intentional, as the BMPS champion earns a direct slot there.

The EWC 2026 Slot

The biggest talking point around BMPS 2026 is the qualification pathway it offers. The tournament winner earns a direct slot at the PUBG Mobile World Cup. The event is held as part of EWC in Riyadh, July 2026. This continues a tradition set by BMPS 2025, where Team Aryan, as BMPS champions, represented India at EWC 2025. There is also a possibility that a second Indian team, potentially the BGIS 2026 champions – Team SouL, could earn a separate PMWC slot, though Krafton has not yet officially confirmed this arrangement.

How Teams Qualify for BMPS 2026

BMPS 2026 is not open for public registration. It is an invite-only event featuring the top 96 teams from across India. The main qualification route runs through BGIS 2026. It concluded on March 29, 2026, at the Chennai Trade Centre, with Team Soul as champions. Top performers from BGIS carry their spots directly into BMPS. A secondary qualification route exists through the Upthrust India Rising Series 2026, which also awards direct BMPS slots to deserving teams, providing a pathway for squads that may not have advanced through BGIS.

BGIS 2026 Context: Who Just Qualified

BGIS 2026 wrapped up with a landmark ₹4 crore prize pool, the highest in India Series history, unlocked in part through the community-driven Discovery Island in-game initiative. Team Soul took first place and ₹1 crore, with Genesis Esports finishing second and Orangutan third. Other finalists who put up a great performance, including GodLike Esports, Revenant XSpark, Velocity Gaming, LEFP Esports, Meta Ninza, and Rivalry Esports, will potentially form the core of the BMPS 2026 participant pool.

Format and Prize Pool

As of now, Krafton India has not officially announced the format or the prize pool for BMPS 2026. However, given that BMPS 2025 featured a prize pool of ₹4 crore, it is reasonable to expect a similar or higher amount for this year’s edition. The format will likely follow the established BGMI tournament structure, which uses a 15-point system in line with PMGC standards, as that is the format teams have been preparing with in scrims and official events throughout 2026.

Where BMPS 2026 Fits in the 2026 Calendar

BMPS 2026 is the second of four major official BGMI tournaments this year. It follows BGIS (January to March), and precedes BMSD (Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown, September 18 to October 12) and BMIC (Battlegrounds Mobile India Cup, October 31 to November 2). Krafton designed this four-event structure to maintain competitive momentum throughout the year, with each event feeding into the next and the best teams continuously tested at progressively higher stakes.
