KRAFTON has officially confirmed that BGMI players are experiencing login failures when trying to access the game through Facebook. The developer posted a notice on the official Battlegrounds Mobile India Instagram handle on March 17, stating that Facebook’s login service is currently unstable and causing authentication errors for some users.
What Is the BGMI Facebook Login Issue?
Players who use Facebook as their primary login method for BGMI are unable to access their accounts. The problem is not on KRAFTON’s side. According to the official notice, the instability is coming from Facebook’s login service itself, which means the fix also depends on Facebook.
The issue affects authentication specifically. Players can still open the game, but when they attempt to log in through Facebook, they are either met with an error or the login simply fails to go through.
KRAFTON’s Recommended Fix
KRAFTON has asked affected players to use an alternative login method that is already linked to their BGMI account. If a player has previously connected their account to Google, Twitter, or any other supported platform, they can use that method to get into the game while the Facebook issue is being resolved.
This only works if the player has linked a secondary login option beforehand. Players who rely solely on Facebook login and have not linked another method will need to wait until the issue is fixed on Facebook’s end.
How to Link an Alternative Login in BGMI
For players who can still access their accounts through another method, this is a good time to add a backup login option. Head to Settings, then go to the Account section, and link an additional platform like Google or Twitter. Having more than one login method connected to your account prevents situations like this from locking you out entirely.
When Will the Issue Be Fixed?
KRAFTON has not provided a timeline for the fix. Since the problem originates from Facebook’s infrastructure, the resolution depends entirely on when Facebook restores stable login service. KRAFTON’s notice did not mention any follow-up update, so players should keep an eye on the official Battlegrounds Mobile India social channels for any new information.
