Skyesports BGMI CEGC 2025 Grand Finals are set to take place from 14 to 16 November 2025 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai. The Grand Finals will feature an exciting new Smash Rule on the final day. This rule has been introduced to make the championship even more thrilling and unpredictable for the fans. In this article, we’ll explain what the Smash Rule is and how it works simply and easily.
BGMI CEGC 2025 Grand Finals Smash Rule Explained
What is the Smash Rule in BGMI Grand Finals?
The Smash Rule is a special rule added to make the Grand Finals more intense and exciting. It rewards consistency but also gives every top-performing team a fair shot at becoming the champion through a thrilling finish.
How It Works
- The Grand Finals will have 16 teams playing 18 matches (6 each day).
- For the first 12 matches, all teams play under normal rules and collect points as usual.
- After Match 12, officials will calculate the Match Point threshold.
How the Match Point is Set
- The Match Point is decided based on the Top 1 team’s points after Match 12, plus 10 extra points.
For example:
- If Team Soul is on top after Match 12 with 140 points,
- then the Match Point = 140 + 10 = 150 points.
What Happens Next
- Once Team Soul (or any other team) reaches 150 points, they become “Match Point Eligible.”
- From that point onwards, they must win a Chicken Dinner (WWCD) to be crowned champions.
- Other teams can also reach the Match Point mark later and become “eligible” too.
Example with Team Soul
- Let’s say after Match 13, Team Soul crosses 150 points; they are now Match Point Eligible.
- If they then win any match after that, say Match 15, they will be declared the Grand Finals Champion, no matter what other teams’ total points are.
- But if no eligible team wins a Chicken Dinner by the end of Match 18, then the team with the most total points overall will be crowned the winner.
