Krafton India Esports has officially revealed the BGIS 2026 The Grind Groups, ahead of the tournament’s start on January 17, 2026. The Grind is a crucial qualification stage for invited teams, as it decides their seeding and entry point in the BGIS 2026 Main Event.
A total of 64 invited teams have been divided into four groups – Group A, Group B, Group C, and Group D. Unlike random groupings, the BGIS 2026 Groups have been formed based on recent performance, with top-performing teams placed in Group A. Teams finishing higher in The Grind will gain a major advantage by skipping early rounds in the main stage.
BGIS 2026 The Grind Format
BGIS 2026: The Grind will run from January 17 to February 1, 2026, featuring 16 matchdays. Each group contains 16 teams, and every group will play 24 matches across their respective weeks.
No team gets eliminated during The Grind. Instead, all teams are seeded into different rounds of the BGIS 2026 Main Event based on their overall standings. Higher-ranked teams start from advanced rounds, while lower-ranked teams must play from the earlier stages.
