The BGIS 2026 Group Draw will take place on February 25 and it is going to be a very important day for all teams and fans. For the first time in the history of the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA Series 2026, both the Quarterfinals and Semifinals group draws will happen on the same day.
This decision adds more excitement before the next big stage of the tournament. Teams will finally know their opponents and their possible path to the Grand Finals. With the Quarterfinals starting from February 26, the pressure is already high.
BGIS 2026 Quarterfinals Set to Begin on February 26
The BGIS 2026 Quarterfinals will be played from February 26 to March 1. A total of 64 teams have confirmed their spots at this stage. These include 56 teams from Round 4 and the top 8 teams from The Grind Group A.
All 64 teams will be divided into four groups of 16 teams each. Every team will play six matches. A total of six matches will be played daily across Erangel, Miramar, and Rondo maps. The matches will start at 3 PM IST each day.
The competition will be tough because only the top 16 teams from the overall standings will directly qualify for the Semifinals. Teams ranked from 17th to 40th will move to the Wildcard stage. For the remaining teams, the journey will end here.
This makes every match extremely important. Even a small mistake can affect qualification chances.

BGIS 2026 Semi Finals Group Draw to Follow a New Ranking Based System
The Semifinals group draw will be different from previous editions. This time, the groups will be decided based on the rankings of teams from the Quarterfinals and Wildcard stage.
This ranking based system has never been used before in BGIS. Earlier, teams were placed in groups through regular draws. But now, performance will directly affect group placement.
This means teams will not just aim to qualify but will also try to finish as high as possible in the standings. A better rank could help them get a more balanced group in the Semifinals.
This change adds more value to every single match played in the Quarterfinals and Wildcard.
BGIS 2026 Semifinals Format Explained
The BGIS Semi Finals will take place from March 12 to March 15, 2026. A total of 24 teams will compete at this stage. Sixteen teams will come from the Quarterfinals and eight teams will qualify through the Wildcard.
The 24 teams will be divided into three groups of eight teams each. The Semifinals will follow a double round robin format. Each team will play 16 matches in total.
After all matches are completed, the top 8 teams will qualify for the Grand Finals. The remaining 16 teams will move to the Survival Stage.
This structure ensures that only the most consistent teams move forward.
