Embark Studios has released a server-side update for Arc Raiders, which has increased the occurrence of the popular Bird City map condition on Buried City. This update comes just days after the Headwinds update, which brought the map condition to the game.
Bird City changes Buried City by adding bird populations nesting in chimneys, increasing trinket drops from nests, additional ziplines, and rooftop loot spots. These elements promote vertical combat and player interactions, which are ideal for PvP combat. It was originally released on January 27, 2026, with Update 1.13.0. It occurred every eight hours for a one-hour window, three times a day, which was inconvenient for players in specific time zones, such as GMT.
The latest hotfix, deployed on February 3 without needing downloads, resolves the weekly event schedule while increasing Bird City events. There are now five events per day, increased from three, making it much more convenient. This server adjustment also improves other dynamic events, taking into consideration the feedback on strict event schedules.
Players have commended the adjustment, making it easier to farm rare trinkets, rubber ducks, and blueprints with the increased ARC spawns. As part of the 2026 plans, in preparation for the release of Shrouded Sky in March, this adjustment maintains the game’s momentum, especially for the extraction shooter.
