The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) is the biggest and most prestigious event in the PUBG Mobile esports scene. It’s the most coveted title every PUBG Mobile esports player dreams of achieving in their career, but only a few ever succeed. Each year, the best teams from around the world battle fiercely for this championship and the ultimate glory that comes with it. The PMGC began in 2020, organized by Krafton and Tencent Games. The tournament is known for its intensity, highly skilled players, and massive prize pools. Over the years, the Global Championship has delivered some unforgettable moments, iconic winners, and standout MVPs who have defined mobile esports history. As PMGC 2025 approaches, let’s take a look back at all the teams that have achieved glory over the years and the players who made their mark by winning the MVP titles. PMGC 2020

One of the most popular and dominating PUBG Mobile esports clubs, Nova Esports, lifted the first-ever trophy of the PMGC in 2020 in Dubai. The Chinese club featuring the game legends like Paraboy, Coolboy, Jimmy, King, and Order dominated the grand finals after finishing 8th in the league stage.

Nova Esports finished 8th in the league stage with a total of 366 points, securing their spot in the PMGC 2020 Grand Finals. A total of 24 teams competed in the league stage, and the top 16 advanced to the finals. After a modest start, Nova displayed their true potential in the Grand Finals.

Across 29 matches, Nova started slow but quickly gained momentum, dominating the later stages of the tournament. The team scored 319 points in the finals to win the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2020, held in Dubai. The Chinese team Four Angry Men (4AM) finished 2nd with 294 points, followed closely by ZEUS Esports with 292 points.

4AM Suk was named the Overall MVP of both the league stage and the finals. He recorded 144 kills in the league stage and 54 kills in the Grand Finals, playing a key role in helping his team secure the runner-up position.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021 was held entirely online due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, for the Grand Finals, most of the Western teams traveled to Singapore or Dubai, UAE, to reduce in-game ping and ensure fair competition. Once again, Nova Esports showcased its dominance by lifting the trophy and becoming the first team in PUBG Mobile history to win the PMGC title back-to-back. The star-studded lineup of Paraboy, Order, Jimmy, Mix6GG, QC, and King made history with this remarkable achievement.

A total of 41 teams competed in the 2021 season, and for the first time, an Indian team, Godlike Esports, participated in the tournament. The Grand Finals featured 16 teams, where Nova Esports completely outplayed their opponents, scoring 222 points in 18 matches to claim the championship title. Natus Vincere (NaVi) secured second place with 175 points, while Nigma Galaxy finished third with 166 points. Godlike Esports ended their PMGC 2021 run in 13th place.

Nova Order was named the MVP of the tournament for his outstanding performance in the Grand Finals, registering 46 kills in 18 matches and playing a crucial role in securing Nova’s second consecutive world title.

PMGC 2022

The Turkish PUBG Mobile team S2G Esports emerged as the champions of PMGC 2022, held in Malaysia, featuring 50 teams from across the globe. This marked the first time a team from the global region lifted the PMGC trophy, breaking China’s two-year winning streak from 2020 and 2021. DRS Gaming from Nepal secured the runner-up position, while GodLike Stalwart finished third.

S2G Esports, featuring the legendary Sylas alongside HamsiG, Calse, and RayZ, dominated throughout the tournament. They finished 3rd in the Red Group to qualify for the Grand Finals and showcased complete dominance on the biggest stage. The team secured 190 points in 18 matches, while the second-placed team managed 158 points, highlighting the Turkish squad’s supremacy at PMGC 2022.

Top from GodLike Stalwart was named the MVP of the tournament for his outstanding performance. He recorded 31 eliminations and dealt 10,074 damage across 18 matches, standing out as one of the best individual performers of the event.

PMGC 2023

Mongolia dominated the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023, held in Turkey, which featured 50 teams, just like the previous season. The Mongolian team IHC Esports won the championship, while another Mongolian side, Stalwart Esports, finished second. The Brazilian powerhouse Alpha7 Esports secured third place, and yet another Mongolian team, 4Merical Vibes, finished fourth, meaning three of the top four teams were from Mongolia, showcasing the region’s dominance in the 2023 season.

IHC Esports, featuring Godless, Alex, Zyol, and DEMO, had a rough start in the league stage but made a strong comeback in the Survival Stage and Last Chance rounds to qualify for the Grand Finals. The finals turned into an intense battle between the two Mongolian giants, IHC Esports and Stalwart Esports. In the end, IHC Esports secured 142 points in 18 matches to claim the title, while Stalwart Esports finished close behind with 138 points.

Zyol was named the MVP of PMGC 2023 for his incredible performance throughout the tournament. He recorded 37 eliminations in the 18 Grand Finals matches, playing a crucial role in IHC’s championship run.

PMGC 2024

Dplus KIA emerged as the champions of PMGC 2024, held in London, becoming the first team from South Korea to win the PUBG Mobile Global Championship. Nolbu became the hero of the tournament, earning the MVP title for his standout performance. Regnum Carya, led by Sylas, finished second, while Nigma Galaxy secured third place.

Featuring players Osal, chpz, Nolbu, and captain FAVIAN, Dplus KIA had been one of the most consistent teams in the global circuit and finally claimed the throne in 2024. They dominated the Group Stage to qualify for the Grand Finals, where the battle for the championship came down to the wire. Dplus KIA clinched victory by just one point, scoring 153 points in 18 matches, while Regnum Carya finished close behind with 152 points.

Nolbu’s performance was instrumental in Dplus KIA’s historic win. He was named the MVP of PMGC 2024, recording 34 eliminations and dealing 8,053 damage across 18 Grand Finals matches.
