NetEase Games plans to release Season 6 in their game “Marvel Rivals.” This update will take place on January 16, following two hours of server downtime that starts at 9:00 AM UTC or 2:30 PM IST. The update introduces several exciting features, including a new hero, storyline, gameplay enhancements, competitive adjustments, and in-game events.
Pacing the line-up as a premier anthem character is Deadpool, a triple-role hero for the very first time in the game. Deadpool is a versatile character for all players, be it a Duelist, a Vanguard, or a Strategist type of fighter. Joining this lineup are new balances that pit a dear Jeff the Land Shark against overpowered characters in a balanced field, all of which can be found in the complete patch notes.
The “Captain Pool” Deadpool skin in the cosmetics category shines bright with a pirate-themed package full of nautical swagger. Spider-Man and Venom show off their vintage 8-bit style in a Marvel Cosmic Invasion collaboration, while the plush Battle Pass comes with exclusive rewards. The Hero Proficiency reward system also receives a makeover with additional pages, rewards, and grindable Lord Icons for all characters.
January 23rd will feature “Disco Night” in Times Square, complete with dance floors and far out skins such as “Disco Revolution” for Luna Snow and Thor. January 30th will see the construction of the Museum of Contemplation, a convoy map crawling with comicbook easter eggs such as Cosmo the Spacedog. Wins in the Duel will be shown on projection screens, earning Units as a prize. February 2nd will round out the early game events with “Mecha Flora” Groot and “Quiet Council of Krakoa” Magneto skins.
