On October 17, 2025, NetEase caught the Marvel Rivals community by surprise with the announcement of a brand-new PvE mode for its hero shooter. The upcoming Marvel Zombies mode marks the game’s first-ever PvE experience, but when exactly is it releasing?
Marvel Rivals PvE Game Mode
Details of the new Marvel Rivals PvE Zombie mode have already been disclosed by NetEase, along with a first look at it in a recent trailer. In this upcoming mode, players can take control of Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff, and The Punisher as they battle through endless waves of zombies and take on deadly bosses alongside their friends.
Note that each hero available to play in the Marvel Rivals PvE mode has been given new and unique abilities to help them survive the zombie outbreak. You can catch a glimpse of these powers in the official trailer.
“You’ll have to survive the horde, go toe-to-toe with Zombie Namor and The Queen of the Dead as bosses, and fight to save the world from getting totally zombified,” Marvel Rivals Executive Producer Danny Koo said when describing this mode.
Marvel Rivals Zombies Release Date
As already confirmed by the devs, Marvel Rivals Zombies will be officially added to the game with its next update on October 23, 2025. While the exact timing hasn’t been confirmed yet, players can expect the new PvE mode to go live around 2 am PT.
