Honkai Star Rail turns three on April 26, 2026. To mark the date, HoYoverse has packed version 4.2 with a range of free rewards across multiple events. Here is a full breakdown of every reward available and how to claim each one.
HSR Version 4.2 arrives on April 22, 2026. The actual third anniversary date is April 26, 2026, which is when a special login reward goes live. The update is titled “So Laughed the Masses” and covers the third year of the game since its original release.
Free 5-Star Character
One of the biggest rewards this year is a free 5-star limited character. Players receive a Golden Companion Spirit and can use it to pick one character from the following list: Robin, Huohuo, Bailu, Bronya, Clara, Gepard, Himeko, Luocha, Ruan Mei, Topaz, Welt, and Yanqing. Robin and Huohuo are new additions to this selection compared to last year.
This reward comes from the Golden Companion Spirits event, which works the same way it did during the second anniversary.
20 Star Rail Premium Passes
The Festive Gifts check-in event gives players 20 Star Rail Premium Passes. You need to log in for 10 days after the release of version 4.2 to collect all the passes. This event replaces the Gift of Odyssey from previous versions.
1,600 Stellar Jades from a Single Mail
The “To The Ones That Blaze” event lets players pick a message from one of the following characters: Welt, Himeko, March 7th, Dan Heng, Sunday, The Herta, Jing Yuan, Acheron, Phainon, or Cyrene. Picking a character sends a message to your inbox along with 1,600 Stellar Jades.
Players who log in on the anniversary day, April 26, 2026, will also receive 1,600 Stellar Jades and 10 Fuel through a separate login reward.
Cosmic Data Roaming
Cosmic Data Roaming is the flagship event for the third anniversary. It runs through the version 4.2 period, and rewards players with a new 4-star Light Cone called “Tomorrow, Together,” along with Stellar Jades, Self-Modeling Resin, Tracks of Destiny, and more items. This is the central event tied to the anniversary celebration.
Triple Drops in Relic and Calyx Farming
Planar Fissure, Realm of the Strange, and Garden of Plenty all return with 300% drop rates during the third anniversary period. Players farming relics, planar ornaments, and ascension materials will get three times the usual amount per run during this window.
Web Events
Two web events run alongside the in-game celebrations.
Aha’s Chosen is available until April 26, 2026. Participants can earn Stellar Jades and have a chance to win Honkai Star Rail merchandise, including a Silver Wolf LV.999-themed car.
Phantasmoon New Game rolls out in phases starting April 23, 2026, and runs until May 6, 2026. Players can earn up to 800 Stellar Jades by participating.
The Annual Trailblaze Report is a web event that recaps each player’s year inside the game, covering stats down to dialogue choices. Completing it gives 180 Stellar Jades plus Trailblazer Fuel and other items.
Cherished Recollection Top-Up Event
Cherished Recollection is a paid rewards event. Players who top up Oneiric Shards during version 4.2 receive additional items based on how much they spend. Rewards include Tears of Dreams, Self-Modeling Resin, Variable Dice, a Golden Companion Spirit, and cosmetic items like Trailblaze Fashion “Hello Mem World!” and the Stellar Couture “The Promise’s ∞.”
Online Concert
HoYoverse will livestream an Honkai Star Rail 2026 Online Concert on May 3. Players who log in during the concert can receive 1,090 Stellar Jades and other online rewards, and can also enter to win real-life prizes.
