Weekly Trials in Arc Raiders are the closest equivalent to a “ranked mode” that the game offers, challenging players to rack up as many points as possible across multiple objectives to climb its competitive ladder. This week, one of the Arc Raiders Trials tasks players with tracking down First Wave Husks and searching them, which can be surprisingly tricky if you don’t know where to look.
What are First Wave Husks in Arc Raiders?
First Wave Husks in Arc Raiders are the remains of the Arcs that fell during the first-wave invasion. Unlike your regular Rocketeers, which actively roam the map hunting down any unfortunate Raider caught in their line of sight, First Wave Husks are inactive, half-buried in the ground, and serve as remnants of the past battles between humans and the Arcs.
Various types of First Wave Husks can be found scattered throughout the Arc Raiders maps, including small Husk of Wasps and Hornets, large Rocketeer Husks, and gigantic Baron Husks.
Arc Raiders Trials Guide: Search First Wave Husks
The most effective way to complete the “Search First Wave Husks” Trial in Arc Raiders is to load up a Night Raid on Dam Battlegrounds and make your way to the Old Battlegrounds section of the map. For the uninitiated, the Old Battlegrounds are located towards the far west of Dam Battlegrounds, near the Central Swamp Lift.
Once you arrive at the location, you should be able to see a number of First Wave Husks scattered nearby, including a Baron husk, Rocketeer husks, and even the smaller ones.
After you’ve cleared out the area and searched every available husk, you can head either south to the South Swamp Outpost or north to Ben Welder’s Sunroof; each of these areas has a few additional husks that you can loot for extra points.
If you’re satisfied with your score, you can make your exit through the Central Swamp Lift extraction point, which is just a few metres away from your location. Otherwise, you can head over to the opposite side of the map to find some more First Wave Husks on the eastern side of the Dam.
By following the route mentioned above, you should be able to farm up a ton of points for your Weekly Trials in Arc Raiders and find yourself one step closer to the double rank-up. Lastly, be sure to complete the Trials during an active map condition like Night Raid or Electromagnetic Storm to gain double the amount of points you’d earn queuing in a normal raid.
