In a post over at the Ubisoft Support forum, the company announced its decision to permanently shut down online services for older Tom Clancy’s titles and several other old-gen games.
Online servers for Tom Clancy’s titles such as Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Rainbow Six Lockdown, Rainbow Six Vegas, and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 will be pulled offline on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms at some point later in this year. The Solo play offline option will still be accessible after the online services are ended.

Other games that are getting their servers pulled offline includes several PC games such as Assassin’s Creed 2, Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands, Far Cry 2, Anno 1404, Might & Magic – Clash of Heroes, Splinter Cell Conviction, The Settlers 7, and Might & Magic X – Legacy. The online services for these titles will end on 1st June 2021 and similarly, only the offline Solo play modes will remain available.
While some titles in the list don’t come with an online mode, the unlockable content or ULC will also become unavailable after they shut down the online services.
“The ULC will be disabled, meaning that you will no longer be able to unlock them. On PC, even if you have redeemed them, the ULC will no longer be available. On consoles, the ULC will be available until you decide to reset your saved game files,” said Ubisoft in its support post.
Similarly, all the in-game currency, player stats, inventory, or Ubisoft connect features will become unavailable and no refunds will be issued.
