After taking a brief break from Twitch, the most versatile, mechanically skilled, gamer/streamer – Shroud made a return back in August with a banging half a million peak views. After the complete takedown of Microsoft’s streaming platform, ‘Mixer’ post partnership with Facebook Gaming, one of its prominent streamers, the FPS God, Shroud shifted back to Twitch describing it as “home”.

Nadeshot, the founder and CEO of the North American esports org. 100Thieves made an announcement on Oct. 12th that 100Thieves will be quitting the CS:GO scene. 100T just bagged the 2nd place in the recent IEM New York North America 2020, Also the overall performances of the team were quite strong and impressive in the recent tournaments. Still the org. backing out doesn’t seem well for the CS:GO scene.

In a recent video, Shroud analyzed and explained the competitive CS:GO scene, specifically about the NA region. He said, “There are few NA teams now. NA as a whole is not popular at all.

You have EG, you have Liquid and that’s it. The rest of the competition is European.” He further added, “NA just died in CS:GO, hard. In my opinion, that’s a very big L to the community, to lose NA. The region brought so much hype, so much excitement into the game and scene, so for that to be lost kind of sucks.”

He further states and explains why the game is dying: “CS is undeniably dying, but players are still getting paid like $40,000 a month. I don’t understand where this money is coming from and how it’s still pumping.”

Shroud was once a professional player for the renowned esports organization Cloud9, before officially retiring from professional esports back on April 18th, 2018.

He was known as the star player or the ‘playmaker’ of the team, which won many mainstream titles, resulting in his rise towards the deserved fame and support which he has now. Hence, his views and opinions towards the CS:GO scene are predominantly considerable.
