South Korea based Overwatch organization Seoul Dynasty will donate the takings it gathers from merchandise sales, in-game skins, and its earnings from every home game for the month of March to aid the organizations helping people affected by coronavirus.

The number of deaths in mainland China rose above 2000 and passengers began leaving the quarantined Diamond Princess cruise ship. A total of around 75000 infections have been recorded in the country, most of them in Hubei province and its capital, Wuhan which is labeled as the epicenter of the outbreak.

“After speaking with staff, players, and coaches, we’ve decided that Gen.G and Seoul Dynasty will be donating 100 percent of the proceeds from our March Seoul Dynasty homestand, our merchandise sales from both Gen.G and Seoul Dynasty, as well as the in-game skin sales from Seoul Dynasty from today through the end of March to support charities that support victims of the coronavirus,” said Gen.G COO Arnold Hur

The coronavirus outbreak has caused serious troubles to the Overwatch League, from games being postponed to organizations moving away from their bootcamp to ensure their safety. This outbreak has wreaked havoc in the lives of the Chinese people and many others across the globe, it makes us proud as Esports enthusiasts to see organizations coming forward to fight against this.
