Marcelo revealed that the addition of former Cloud9 major winning star players – Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Tarik “tarik” Celik was working quite well back then and the team displayed potential with play-off finishes. However, the team’s decision to pull the plug was quite amusing for Brazilian star and he criticized this move. Communication problem was another reason behind the departure of Jake and Tarik as MIBR went back to fully Brazilian roster soon after.

Marcelo said that FalleN and co. ‘went overboard’ in criticising his move to bench himself and further revealed that Epitácio “TACO” de Melo and João “felps” Vasconcellos received same treatment during their exile. Marcelo said, “I think that was very low and it hurt me a lot to see that because I left the team and I did not say anything bad about anyone. I was just quiet like nothing had happened.”

“They kind of started to put the fans against me. It seems that they want me to feel bad about my choice, even though I had been thinking about it for a year, and they knew that. I was pretty upset and I did not think it was right.”

Marcelo revealed that he will be heading to Europe tomorrow to practice individually.“By the time I join another team I will be very strong,” he said. During his four years with FalleN and co., he revealed that for once he fought with Fernando “fer” Alvarenga because of gambling problems and later apologized. “I cried a lot because I really like fer. This made us open our eyes a little because the way we were playing was very bad and we should give our 110% again as a team. This made us finish 2017 brilliantly,” he said.

Coming to offers, Marcelo suggested that he has received offers from four organizations, however, he did not reveal much about the organizations. He said, “After a Major there is always this game of musical chairs in the scene, so I still need to wait and see if I receive some other offers.” He further added that financial issues are least of his concerns and organization, teammates and structure are his major concerns.
