8 Teams Banned From Free Fire City Open 2021 For Hacking In Qualifiers

Free Fire City Open 2021

The Free Fire Esports India recently made an official announcement on various social media sites revealing the decision to ban 8 teams that were flagged by the in-game anti-cheat system for hacks during the online qualifiers held on April 30th.

Free Fire has seen tremendous growth in its popularity in India since the ban on PUBGM came into effect. For a long time, Garena has been working hard on promoting the esports scene in India, and therefore, the ongoing Free Fire City Open 2021, an open tournament featuring teams from 8 cities in India, boasting a mass prize pool of 60 Lakh INR is very important.

As per the announcement, the teams and players have been banned from Free Fire and disqualified from the FFCO 2021.

List of the Disqualified Teams

  • DaddyFFGaming

All the players from the above teams will also receive an in-game ban on their account, as well as they will be barred from participating in future official tournaments.

With that out of the way, the top 3000 teams from the FFCO 2021 have been shortlisted and will receive emails asking to provide more information for verification before being placed in their respective regional finals or the wildcard finals. It is necessary for the players to promptly submit their details, and failure to do so will be deemed as forfeiting their chances of playing in the event.

Further, the Top 12 teams from each city will be placed directly in the city finals. While the Top 12 teams not representing any city will be placed in the Wildcard Finals.
