German audio company Sennheiser just announced its partnership with Danish Esports organisation North. As per the sponsorship deal, North will be using Sennheiser’s headsets during their plays and have Sennheiser logo on the team’s official jersey effective immediately.
The deal runs through the end of 2019 and will include all teams of North. Currently North have teams for CSGO, Apex Legends and FIFA.
In the release, Tim Völker, Sennheiser’s vice president of sales, marketing, and product management for gaming said:
“We’re really proud to be supporting such a prestigious team and are excited about our partnership with North. We hope that, with our audio expertise on board, North will reach even greater heights within esports.”
Currently, North’s CSGO team is competing for $1M USD in the StarLadder Berlin Major 2019 and the players of the team will be first to wear the new jerseys with Sennheiser’s Logo on the sleeves.
Sennheiser currently also sponsors other esports organisations such as NRG Esports, SK Gaming and Newbee. In addition to that Sennheiser is also partnered with tournament organiser ESL and production company Beyond the Summit.
