Earlier today, an image was posted by a Reddit user (now deleted his account), which seemed to be a back-drop for some announcement being ruled out by an organization, or firmly association called WESA, abbreviated, World Esports Association. The image was leaked prior to the announcement by the printer who was given the job-work, unfortunately he leaked something which wasn’t supposed to be made public that way, out of excitement.
Although this is still unclear about what WESA will actually do, the presumption can be made upon the involvements of the biggies and the association title.

World Esports Association
From what the name suggests to be, association is “a connection or cooperative link between people or organizations. ” which in simpler form means, a group of people organized for a joint purpose. The purpose maybe something to do with events, companies, participation and could be sponsors as well. World Esports Association can also be defined as a resistant organization and group of people which, if collaborate or agree to each other, will not be able to adhere and do business elsewhere.
From what we could derive from the leaked image, it has names of some of the world’s biggest eSports organizations, ESL, fnatic, Na’vi, Virtus.Pro, HellRaisers, mousesports, Ninjas In Pyjamas, and EnVyUs. Astralis has been left out due to unknown reasons.

What possibly will be the role of WESA
An organization or an association of this level with some of the world’s biggest organization as their committers will surely be very powerful. A representative of the association will have the powers in decision making in every terms. For an instance, if ESL organizes a WESA-limited event, no teams other than the WESA-supported ones will be able to participate in the event and it also goes vice-versa. The WESA cooperated teams and organizations might as well not be allowed to participate elsewhere or other events organized by non-ESL management.
This kind of barrier and its relentless operations will limit the community in a specified dimensions which will be under control of WESA. With absence of Valve’s interference and community discussions, the organizations and the law makers at WESA would possibly have the control over all of the participating organization with their mutual consent.

Not only on Reddit and its threads, perhaps the community heavy weights are also expecting something which will not be healthy and worthy for future of the game since everything will be limited and entitled to the decision makers of WESA. In other words, the game, organizers, participants will be entering into a political venture which will be under the control of the association and everything.. without the game possessor, Valve.
